In April, a record 1.755 million passenger vehicles were sold in China’s retail market. In the past year, a total of 821,000 sedans and hatchbacks were purchased, marking a significant 13.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year, while sales dropped by 9.0 percent on a monthly basis. Approximately 847,000 sport utility vehicles were sold, representing a 16.4 percent year-over-year increase while experiencing a 10.4 percent decrease from the previous month.
