Tesla (TSLA) shareholders were left feeling let down when they thought they had stumbled upon a revolutionary ‘Tesla prototype’, only to discover it was actually a competitor’s innovation.

Shareholders of electric vehicle pioneer Tesla (TSLA) were left buzzing on social media after mistakenly being shown a “Tesla prototype” that was, in fact, a rival company’s actual automobile.

As a newly unveiled electric vehicle prototype started surfacing on social media, Tesla investors eagerly shared it, mistakenly attributing the design to Tesla’s innovative work?

A member of the “Rebellionaire” group on X, a community of Tesla stock enthusiasts and proponents, enthusiastically shared this information, touting it as a development that has made them exceptionally optimistic about Tesla’s future.

Actually, the major drawback was that it didn’t even have a Tesla prototype status.

Faraday Future confirms the unveiling of its Faraday FF 91 Futurist, a proof-of-concept mule prototype for their forthcoming ‘Faraday X’ series.

Meet our testing platform: the Faraday Future’s X Prototype Mule.

Faraday Future, a brand often associated with its luxurious FF91, is now gaining attention for its more affordable next-generation vehicles under the Faraday X banner.

Tesla investors’ enthusiasm mounted as they await the unveiling of new, more affordable electric vehicles under fresh brand names.

Due to CEO Elon Musk’s denial of a report suggesting Tesla cancelled its plans for cheaper electric vehicles, based on its next-generation platform (NV91-92), allegedly opting instead for the ‘Cybertruck’ and stripped-down versions of the Model 3 and Model Y.

Despite Tesla’s confirmation of recent financial results and earnings calls, some remain skeptical about future model launches due to Elon Musk’s statements.

Electrek’s Take

Despite Tesla’s current struggles, it appears that its shareholder base is failing to acknowledge the underlying problems due to an unwavering faith in CEO Elon Musk’s words, despite a long history of misleading and inaccurate statements?

It is a prime instance.

Tesla has officially corroborated our earlier reports that the latest vehicles will indeed be streamlined, budget-friendly versions of the Model 3 and Model Y.

Despite the promise of innovative designs like the Cybercab, few new fashion trends are emerging onto the market, largely due to the fact that this concept relies heavily on the development of autonomous driving technology, specifically the ability for vehicles to operate without human intervention – a capability still in its infancy.

A significant drawback that shareholders often overlook is…

In the past five years, Tesla has introduced just one new model, the Cybertruck, which ultimately failed to generate significant traction in the market.

As the years unfold, investors will eventually realize that Elon Musk’s tumultuous tenure at Tesla has brought the company’s electric vehicle (EV) empire to the brink of collapse, with no autonomous salvation in sight.
