“Second-hand” Xiaomi SU7 Extremely autos are already being resold at inflated costs only one week after the automotive’s official launch. Listings on Autohome’s second-hand market platform present sellers in cities like Wuhan, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou providing the SU7 Extremely for 548,900 to 648,800 yuan (75,700 to 89,500 USD) — nicely above the official retail worth of 529,900 yuan (73,100 USD). Specialists imagine many listings are from scalpers cashing in on the automotive’s hovering demand.

The Xiaomi SU7 Extremely has been a sensation since its February 27 launch. It offered 10,000 items in simply two hours and exceeded 19,000 by March 3. Initially priced at 814,900 yuan (112,380 USD) throughout pre-sales, the ultimate beginning worth for the usual model dropped to 529,900 yuan (73,100 USD) — a 285,000 yuan (39,300 USD) minimize. This aggressive pricing, mixed with efficiency rivalling Porsche, tech on par with Tesla, and luxurious corresponding to BMW and Audi, has made the SU7 Extremely a market standout.

Most of those listed “second-hand” SU7 Ultras are model new, with practically half being unregistered. Some listings present minimal mileage (10-20 kilometres), suggesting house owners flipped the vehicles instantly after buy. Whereas these almost-new autos supply a shortcut for keen patrons, scalpers are drawing criticism for exploiting demand and driving up costs.

The SU7 Extremely is a high-performance electrical sedan with a most energy output of 1,138 kW (1,548 horsepower), a 0-100 km/h time of 1.98 seconds, and a high velocity of 350 km/h. Its mix of efficiency, tech, and luxurious has made it a scorching commodity and a primary goal for scalpers.

Because the market adjusts, patrons should resolve whether or not to pay a premium for speedy availability or anticipate Xiaomi’s prolonged supply schedules.

Keep tuned for this week’s Sunday China Drive at Automobile Information China, the place we’ll evaluate the SU7 Extremely.
