The BYD Tang L, the newest addition to BYD‘s Dynasty sequence, is predicted to be formally unveiled on January 17 on the firm’s Shenzhen headquarters. It was just lately noticed on the freeway with a roof-mounted drone docking station. This marks its departure from the older BYD Tang mannequin, offering a extra superior design and technological edge.

The automobile adopts BYD’s signature “Dragon Face” design language, providing a definite look in comparison with its predecessor. One notable function is the optionally available roof-mounted drone docking system, designed to help with outside actions and distant exploration.

The SUV is constructed on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 for its EV variants and incorporates DM 5.0 expertise within the PHEV fashions. It measures 5040 mm in size, 1996 mm in width, and 1760 mm in top, with a wheelbase of 2950 mm. The addition of the drone docking system will increase the peak to 1970 mm.

The Tang L inside is predicted to supply a spacious and splendid cabin with seven passengers. It’ll embrace a floating central management display, a D-shaped steering wheel, and a middle console with wi-fi charging and cup holders.

The EV variants embrace two choices: a single motor producing 500 kW (671 hp) or a dual-motor setup with a 230 kW (308 hp) entrance motor and a 580 kW (778 hp) rear motor. The PHEV fashions use a 1.5T engine paired with a single 200 kW (268 hp) motor or a dual-motor configuration producing as much as 400 kW (536 hp). Pure electrical ranges for the PHEV choices are 135 km, 150 km, or 165 km, relying on the configuration.

The automobile’s curb weight is 2675–2967 kg, and its towing capability is 2000 kg. Different options embrace roof-mounted lidar, rear cameras, and 20-inch or 21-inch rims. Extra particulars can be revealed at its official debut.
