In December, Li Auto achieved a remarkable milestone by delivering 58,500 automobiles, representing a notable 16.21% year-over-year surge and a new record for the company. By 2024, the company’s cumulative supply had surpassed 500,000 vehicles, representing a 33% year-over-year surge, making it the leading NEV manufacturer to reach an annual supply of over 500,000 units. Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Li Auto has revised its annual production target for 2024, downgrading it from an initial goal of 800,000 vehicles to a range of 480,000 to 560,000 units. The reduction is attributed to delays in the release of three new EV models.

In December, HIMA shipped a total of 49,500 vehicles, thereby reaching an impressive overall annual sales figure of 445,000 units, ranking second all-time high. The HIMA manufacturing group currently comprises four prominent brands: Aito, Luxeed, Maestro, and Stelato. Since its inception, Aito’s flagship product, the Aito M9, has dominated gross sales, with cumulative orders surpassing 200,000 units within the first year of launch. Meanwhile, the newcomer, M7, has also made a significant impact, boasting an annual cumulative supply exceeding 190,000 units.

HIMA asserted that its advanced driver-assistance systems had collectively prevented an astonishing 1,126,600 collisions due to the cumulative effects of their usage. Looking ahead, HIMA intends to introduce fashion-forward models like the Aito M8, Luxeed S9 Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) variant, and Maextro S800 in 2025.

GAC Aion

GAC Aion’s gross sales showed a significant rebound in December, surging 46,900 units month-over-month and reaching an annual total of 354,000 units. Despite this resurgence, the company still experienced a year-on-year decline of approximately 14%, with sales falling short of the 480,000-unit mark achieved in 2023.

Extra competitors forward

As the clock strikes 2025, several pioneering NEV manufacturers have launched a fresh round of “price wars” since January 1, seeking to capitalize on the peak sales period preceding the Spring Festival at the end of this month?
