On December 30, Deepal announced a milestone with the rollout of its 400,000th automobile from the production line. In a mere 29 months, the model’s momentum has skyrocketed from zero to an astonishing 400,000 vehicles.

It is reportedly a documentation linked to a vehicle model owned by Changan. Despite declarations being based on ambiguous language regarding “the same market,” it remains unclear what that phrase actually connotes.

Deeper analysis reveals that Deepal announced a substantial cumulative gross sales total of 300,000 units in October alone? The data suggests a steady increase in profitable revenue streams for the model. Throughout November and December, the model successfully promoted more than 30,000 models each month.

In September 2023, Deepal achieved its milestone of reaching 100,000 in just 14 months. Sales of gross vehicles commenced in 2022 with the introduction of the SL03 sedan model. Within just 35 days, the innovative S7 SUV model shattered sales records by delivering a remarkable 10,000 units, marking a significant milestone in its successful second iteration.

Currently, the model boasts five distinct styles: the SL03, S07 – previously known as the S7 – G318, L07, and S05. Except for the G318, which is extremely rare in its range-extended electric vehicle form, all other models are available in both all-electric and range-extended versions.

By year-end, it is anticipated that December’s gross sales will surpass 36,000, with the total for 2024 likely exceeding 240,000. Driving significant sales growth has been the newly launched S05 SUV, which secured an impressive 21,730 pre-orders within a single month.

By 2025, Deepal is poised to achieve a significant milestone in its gross sales, aiming to surpass the half-million mark. While 400,000 units are expected to cater to the domestic demand, an additional 100,000 will be allocated for international markets. Designing for the next generation may result in the creation of two innovative fashion trends. The upcoming S09 SUV is expected to hit the market in a matter of months, as it has already been announced on the Ministry of Business and Information Technology’s inventory.

By 2025, it’s predicted that the model will be available in 81 countries worldwide. Deepal ventured into the Thai market in January 2024. Thailand, the company’s initial foreign market, is poised for further expansion as it plans to construct a local production facility, slated to open in early 2025. Can this innovative strategy help significantly boost gross sales in Southeast Asia and drive business growth? Moreover, the Hyundai Kona Electric (S07) has already undergone testing with Euro-NCAP, hinting at a possible start to European market sales.
