On December 23, Xiaomi announced that its SU7 has received an over-the-air (OTA) update to HyperOS 1.4.5, bringing 13 new features and 26 performance optimizations. This includes the capability to utilize the vehicle’s front camera for video calls when a Xiaomi phone is paired with the automobile.
To qualify as an eligible Xiaomi device, the phone must run on either the Xiaomi HyperOS 2 or HyperOS 1 operating system, alongside a compatible version of HyperConnect – specifically, HyperConnect 16.0.0+ for HyperOS 2, or HyperConnect 15.3.2+ for devices running HyperOS 1.
Explore the various options and optimization strategies available below.

The automotive interconnection has introduced features that automatically silence the onboard microphone during VoIP calls initiated via Bluetooth, ensuring privacy and security. Additionally, users can now enjoy seamless login using pre-paired Bluetooth keys without needing to scan a login code.
With a focus on charging expertise, the replacement inserts detailed information about charging stations from partner manufacturers like NIO, Li Auto, and XPeng. The data encompasses various aspects, including activity levels, productivity, value, and parking fees. Customers can refine their search for charging stations by filtering options such as free parking, energy variance, and real-time availability.
Optimisations have been further refined to enhance the driving proficiency, including but not limited to:
- When the electrically actuated rear wing is poised for computerized deployment, the rear wing’s logic undergoes a modification from speed-dependent settings to adaptive driving mode management. If the Computerized option isn’t selected, the rear wing won’t meet the requirements of the chosen driving mode.
- When opening the trunk while the rear spoiler is in transit, it’s crucial to open the trunk initially and then bring the rear spoiler to a halt before re-closing the trunk. Only after this sequence can the rear spoiler safely return to its original position.
- Added a turn-by-turn course steering feature within the interactive map view to help customers quickly determine the optimal viewing angle.
Clever driving
The Metropolis navigation system has been upgraded to include enhanced features that seamlessly integrate pace and trajectory detection for both cars and pedestrians, ensuring a smoother experience with precise longitudinal acceleration and deceleration control, while also improving stability in traffic light detection and intelligent intersection lane selection logic. Optimizations have been achieved in highway atmosphere recognition, comparable to identifying development zones, reminding drivers to focus on safety through text and voice notifications, and introducing a novel remote control smart parking function that automatically turns off the turn signal upon completing a lane change.
