BYD's Fang Cheng Bao Titanium 3 revealed under new series, to launch next year
SHARE

On December 10, BYD launched the Fang Cheng Bao (FCB) Titanium series, a new collection tailored to meet the needs of family-oriented customers. The debut product from the collection, the Titanium 3 electric sport utility vehicle (SUV), features an all-wheel drive (AWD) system and an optional rooftop drone cabin, according to a statement issued by China’s regulatory body yesterday. The forthcoming Titanium 3 is expected to hit the market in the first half of next year, with a price tag of around 200,000 yuan (approximately $27,600 USD).

BYD recently unveiled Fang Cheng Bao, their new off-road vehicle, in the final week of August last year. The company is renowned for its flagship product range, Bao, with a new entrant, Titanium (Tai), expected to debut in 2025.

At the launch convention of the FCB Bao 8 on November 12, FCB’s Common Supervisor, Xiong Tianbo, revealed that a staggering 70% of customers who purchased the FCB Bao 5 were household consumers. FCB has long expressed a desire to penetrate the lucrative housing market, consistently highlighting the potential for residential usage in its marketing initiatives. The debut collection is titled Titanium, drawing inspiration from the versatile element commonly found in human life, known for its extraordinary characteristics of high tensile strength and flexibility, mirroring the brand’s innovative approach.

The Titanium 3’s exterior design builds upon the innovative concept introduced by its predecessor, the Tremendous 3, incorporating a sleek, modern aesthetic within a unibody framework. The standard specifications for the Titanium 3’s exterior dimensions include a length, width, and height of 4,605mm, 1,900mm, and 1,720mm, respectively, with a wheelbase measuring 2,745mm. The height of the non-compulsory roof drone cabin trim reaches a maximum of 1930 mm, an increase of 210 mm from the original, while all other specifications remain unchanged. The respective car’s curb weights are 2170 kilograms and 2265 kilograms. What are the angles of the method and departure? Which tire size would provide a better fit for my vehicle, the 235/60R18 or the 245/50R19?

Each trim level now comes equipped with a fully dedicated pure electric all-wheel drive system. The entry-level asynchronous motor, model YS230XYC, boasts a maximum power output of 110 kW or 148 horsepower. What is the top speed recorded? The battery originates from the BYD Blade battery pack.

Additionally, the standard trim now features an available panoramic sunroof, alongside optional configurations that mirror the design of the rear privacy glass, cameras strategically placed throughout the vehicle, exterior trim accents on the front bumper, customizable brake caliper colors, and distinct wheel designs. The optional roof drone cabin trim comes standard with a self-contained, unmanned cabin configuration mirroring its non-essential counterparts.
