The wait is finally over: Hyundai’s highly anticipated IONIQ 5 electric SUV has officially arrived. The Hyundai Ioniq 9 promises to revolutionize electric vehicle (EV) transportation with its sleek, avant-garde exterior and innovative features seamlessly integrated within a spacious, modern cabin. As the brand-new electric SUV makes its inaugural appearance, its allure is undeniable – but hold off until you witness its prowess on the open road.

At the recent Los Angeles Auto Show, Hyundai officially debuted the IONIQ 6, its inaugural three-row electric SUV offering. The show-stealing electric SUV boasted a bold redesign, boasting an expansive interior and cutting-edge innovations.

Hyundai’s newest SUV lineup showcases its innovative Aerosthetic design philosophy. With its sleek, streamlined design and seamless exterior silhouette, the cabin exudes a welcoming, lounge-like atmosphere that comfortably accommodates seven passengers. The primary and second-row seats can fully recline, providing ample opportunity for passengers to relax their legs.

At 505 cm long, 198 cm wide, and 179 cm tall, the IONIQ 9 is only slightly shorter than the Rivian R1S at 201.5 inches long, 82 inches wide, and 76.5 inches tall.

The Hyundai electric SUV is propelled by a substantial 110.3-kilowatt-hour battery pack, enabling it to boast an estimated Environmental Protection Agency range of 335 miles, with a more conservative Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure estimate of 620 kilometers. This unique feature is available on the Lengthy-Vary RWD model equipped with 19-inch wheels.

Hyundai’s forthcoming IONIQ 9 is a three-row electric sport utility vehicle.

The Long-range Vary Rear-Wheel Drive model is equipped with a 160 kW rear motor, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in a swift 9.4 seconds. The Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron boasts an Efficiency trim option, featuring a powerful 160 kW front motor that enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in just 5.2 seconds.

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 SUV, rather than IONIQ 9, as there is no such model. Here’s a rewritten version:

Hyundai’s sleek and innovative IONIQ 5 SUV has made its mark on the road, showcasing its smooth handling in various driving conditions.

Hyundai has crammed the interior with its latest software programming and connectivity technology, as well as enhanced electric vehicle route planning capabilities. The Ioniq 5 boasts dual 12-inch displays with integrated touchscreens, seamlessly integrated into its panoramic curved interface.

The system also features e-Energetic Sound Design, a technological innovation that recreates the distinctive hum of an electric vehicle through the car’s onboard audio system.

With a compatible local NACS port, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 also enables charging at Tesla Superchargers. The Hyundai’s new electric SUV is capable of rapidly charging from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes, regardless of its size.

Following its official unveiling, our first glimpse of the cutting-edge electric SUV takes to public roads for a comprehensive test drive. The latest video from Hyundai offers an in-depth look at the IONIQ 9 in action ahead of its upcoming delivery. The sleek, futuristic design of this car stands out in stark contrast to the more conventional vehicles surrounding it.

The Hyundai Ioniq 9 is expected to debut in the US and Korean markets during the first half of 2025, followed by European and global rollouts.

Hyundai will manufacture a US-specific model of its IONIQ 5 electric crossover at its newly established facility in Georgia, slated for production by 2025. As the official pricing details are yet to be announced, likely preceding the product’s release.

What does Hyundai’s bold new electric SUV entail? While the design has some unique elements, overall it doesn’t quite resonate with me. Can we explore alternative options that might better capture the essence of your brand? What a great adventure we were on! We set out to explore the world and learn about its many wonders.

Toyota’s Chairman Akio Toyoda appears to be stuck in the slow lane, insisting that electric vehicles (EVs) won’t dominate roads anytime soon. He boldly predicted that by 2030, EVs will only account for a mere 30% of global sales – an astonishingly low estimate that ignores the rapid progress made by Norway and China in adopting clean energy transport.
