Fresh spy shots of the NIO ET9 have emerged just 48 hours ago. As Nio Day approaches on December 21, the long-awaited automotive debut is now just a few days away from its highly anticipated launch, with all design and technical details finally unveiled. Significantly, the upcoming ET9 model is expected to boast an expansive front trunk.

The Nio ET9 departs from its predecessors by employing a more conventional approach to selecting drive modes, utilizing a stalk situated atop the steering column rather than the central console’s drive selector as seen in previous Nio models. Furthermore, we will explore the display setup in detail.

The reported multifunction steering wheel features an advanced steer-by-wire technology. The vehicle also features an advanced AR head-up display system, which provides the equivalent of a 120-inch screen experience on the windshield.

A glimpse into the rear compartment exposes two compact recreational accessories securely fastened behind the front seats. The two unbiased seats are said to encompass 24 proprietary technologies with patents applied for. The seat cushion measures a generous 582 millimeters in width, while the backrest features adjustable angles at a precise 45 degrees. Additionally, sources claim that the space features an executive-style desk and a refrigerator, effectively elevating the experience to business-class standards.

The Skyride boasts a pioneering chassis system, featuring innovative rear-wheel steering and an advanced energy-absorbing suspension setup. Capable of presenting a staggering 1000 torque adjustments per second, along with sophisticated four-wheel unbiased management, this system is designed to accommodate the diverse demands of various driving scenarios.

The NIO brand boasts a proprietary 5-nanometer automotive-grade processing unit, codenamed Shenji NX9031, which serves as the intelligent heartbeat of its cutting-edge autonomous driving capabilities. The chip is integrated with the SkyOS TianShu operating system to form a custom-built intelligent system architecture.

The automotive’s imposing dimensions measure 5,324 millimeters in length, 2,016 millimeters in width, and 1,620 millimeters in height, with a wheelbase of 3,250 millimeters – marking its status as the largest Nio model to date. With this top, the automobile is essentially transformed into an SUV-coupe, differing significantly from a standard sedan not just visually, but also in its overall character. The load is 2700 kg.

Nio’s flagship vehicles ride on 23-inch Pirelli P ZERO EV-specific tires designed specifically for electric vehicles. With a spacious frunk, the vehicle also features rear privacy glass and distinctive double-slit daytime running lights.

Pre-sale costs place the automotive industry at approximately $110,000, equivalent to 800,000 yuan. The NIO ET9 is set to debut with a revolutionary 120 kWh battery pack and become the first vehicle globally to feature a cutting-edge 900V high-voltage architecture in China, a pioneering achievement. Deliveries are scheduled to commence in early 2025.
