On November 28, Zeekr celebrated a milestone by opening its 500th global retail location in Singapore. Meanwhile, XPeng’s Chinese-language AI-powered model introduced its Zeekr 009 variant to the Singaporean market.

The five hundredth The retailer is located at 9 Leng Kee Street. Spanning two levels, the Zeekr Centre in Singapore offers customers a unique and tailored electric vehicle (EV) buying experience. As the Singaporean retail presence expands, the Zeke model now boasts an impressive network of 447 showrooms across China, complemented by 53 international locations abroad.

“We’re honored to mark this extraordinary milestone by celebrating the opening of our latest Zeekr Centre in Singapore, further solidifying our foothold in the country and driving our expansion across Southeast Asia,” said Mr. Mars Chen, Vice President of Zeekr.

The latest addition to our lineup is the Zeekr 009, a new model that marks the second appearance of the Zeekr brand in the Singapore market since its launch in August, with the initial Zeekr X making a successful debut. In Singapore, the Zeekr 009 is available in two configurations: a seven-seat version and a six-seat variant. With different variants leveraging a 116 kWh battery, they boast impressive ranges of up to 582 kilometers (WLTP) when fully charged. It is well-known that this appears to be a larger battery than those typically found in China, particularly in the Chinese market where many vehicles are equipped with a 108-kWh battery. A quick recharge to 80% can be achieved within half an hour, suggesting that the battery may not be the 5C CATL Kirin battery commonly used in China.

In China, a front-wheel-drive variant is available, whereas in Singapore, only the dual-motor configuration is currently offered. This allows the MPV to achieve an acceleration time of just 4.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.

In Singapore, the Zeekr 009, a seven-seat model, is priced at SGD 409,999 or approximately USD 305,000. The flagship six-seater version costs SGD 419,999, roughly equivalent to USD 312,400. Meanwhile, the Zeekr X is listed at SGD 199,900 (approximately USD 148,700) for its rear-wheel drive variant, and SGD 214,900 (around USD 159,850) for the all-wheel drive version.

In Singapore, costs are roughly five times higher than those in China, primarily attributed to the requirement for Certificates of Entitlement (COE) when owning a vehicle in the country.

Zeekr has thus far acquired more than 360,000 vehicles and currently operates in 40 global markets, including established territories like Australia and the European Union. The corporation has a robust rollout strategy in place for the next five years, with a goal of opening 520 showrooms by the end of 2024.
