BYD is set to unveil the globe’s quickest charging pure electric blade battery specifically designed for development equipment at the Bauma China event in Shanghai, scheduled for November 26th.

Technical specifications currently provided appear to originate from a cell phone capture of a laptop computer or presentation display screen, suggesting suboptimal image quality and potential inconsistencies. These inverters provide a maximum output of 400 amps, accompanied by a 1500V high-voltage platform. As manufactured by BYD, the battery indeed utilizes lithium iron phosphate technology, specifically featuring their proprietary Blade battery design. The proposed battery is expected to come in capacities ranging from approximately 200 to 2500 kilowatt-hours, boasting an impressive lifespan of up to 7,000 charging cycles. The battery must be capable of operating within an ambient temperature range of -35°C to 65°C. The battery’s maximum charging capacity is anticipated to be approximately 600 kilowatts.

BYD asserts itself as the pioneer in introducing a revolutionary blade battery specifically designed for development equipment, touted as the world’s first of its kind. Does the battery require cell-to-body knowledge for seamless integration into development equipment? BYD asserts that its battery is the globe’s fastest-charging production facility for development equipment.

The partnership between BYD’s subsidiary FinDreams and XCMG, a leading developer of construction machinery, has resulted in the creation of a state-of-the-art battery. As a state-owned company, it is the largest development equipment producer in China and the third-largest globally.

In early 2023, XCMG and BYD inaugurated their partnership, which led to the establishment of Xuzhou XCMG Fodi Battery Expertise Co., Ltd. in April 2023. was established. The Chinese language term for BYD’s FinDreams is Fodi. The first batch of primary batteries produced through this collaboration emerged from the production line in October last year. Apparently, older models of blade batteries preceded the latest generation being introduced this year.
