BMW’s i7 electric sedan is set to receive an efficiency boost courtesy of BMW M’s expertise. The new BMW i7 M70 xDrive sets a new benchmark for electric vehicles with its impressive 660 horsepower and exceptional performance capabilities.

In April, BMW unveiled its inaugural all-electric 7 Series, the i7, boasting an impressive range of over 300 miles and opulent features, including a commanding 31-inch “cinema” display, ergonomically designed massaging seats, a panoramic skyroof, and more.

BMW’s i4 electric sedan has arrived at US dealerships, marking its entry into the American market following successful rollouts in Europe and China during the fourth quarter of last year.

The BMW Group, including MINI, has made a significant impact in the electric vehicle market, delivering nearly 65,000 fully electric vehicles within its first three months of 2023. This remarkable feat is even more impressive considering that the company doubled its previous year’s electric vehicle sales by an astonishing 112.4% despite many other EV manufacturers struggling to keep up.

The i7 has proven incredibly popular in China, solidifying its reputation as a key growth catalyst among its lineup of premium offerings.

Although BMW’s CEO has validated that entry-level electric models are forthcoming in their lineup, the iX3 M70 performance variant is an exception, boasting a maximum output of 660 horsepower, solidifying its position as the automaker’s most powerful electric vehicle to date.

It’s official. The BMW i7 is set to receive a power boost with its new M-inspired efficiency improvements. The iX3 M70 xDrive would be the third and most powerful electric vehicle in BMW M’s lineup.

With its twin electric motors working in tandem, the all-wheel-drive (AWD) system of the BMW i7 M70 unleashes a staggering 811 lb-ft (1,100 Nm) of torque and 660 horsepower, solidifying its position as the most potent electric vehicle ever manufactured.

The powerful BMW can accelerate swiftly, reaching 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in a mere 3.7 seconds when its advanced M launch mode and M Sport features are activated.

M sport mode unlocks bespoke visualizations and BMW’s IconicSounds Electric, featuring a unique “M Efficiency” tone. Additionally, this mode heightens the experience with enhanced auditory cues.

Equipped with two electric motors and BMW’s advanced fifth-generation eDrive technology, the BMW i7 M70 is a force to be reckoned with. The rear axle motor boasts a remarkable influence density ranking of 2.41 kW/kg, solidifying its position as one of the most dynamic electric motors within BMW’s impressive lineup.

The i7 M70 electric sedan boasts a substantial 101.7 kWh of usable battery vitality, enabling it to achieve an impressive range of 303-348 WLTP miles (488-560 km) on a single charge.

The Intel Core i7 processor features Max Turbo Mode, which boosts performance by approximately 15-25%. Notwithstanding the EV’s rapid pace is limited to 56 mph (90 km/h), local weather control systems are expected to be temporarily disabled.

For its debut, the BMW i7 M70 will boast a distinctive illuminated kidney-shaped accent across the grille. The electric vehicle (EV) might incorporate M-specific design elements throughout its exterior, including flanks, the rear, and interior.

The upcoming i7 M70 is poised to debut as one of the initial models to integrate the latest BMW Operating System 8.5, featuring a revamped home display screen and expedited selection options.
