Hytec, an electrical model under the GAC Group umbrella, was launched in 2023 with global aspirations. Initially, the entity was called “Hyper”. In August 2024, GAC made a strategic move by rebranding its subsidiary Hyper to Hyptec, signaling a new era for the company. The phrase “Hytec” consists of two components: Hy (meaning hyper) and Tec (know-how). Hypercar’s current model lineup consists of three styles: the GT sedan, the HT Fatback SUV, and the SSR sports car. GAC is set to unveil its fourth passenger vehicle at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2024, scheduled for November 15th. The HypTech HL flagship crossover, previously known as the AH8.
Hyptec HL official pictures
The Hypetec HL has been previewed in China through street tests. The Chinese automaker GAC unveiled its flagship crossover on November 12, releasing a set of official images to the public. The sleek, aerodynamic design features an extended silhouette, characterized by a low-slung beltline and a streamlined flat roof, which accommodates a cutting-edge LiDAR sensor. The Hypotec HL boasts innovative features such as retractable door handles, sleek 21-inch multi-spoke rims, and a streamlined single taillight unit. What sets the Hytec flagship SUV apart from others is its striking exterior design, particularly the two-tiered front grille and a unique headlight arrangement that forms a distinctive visage. The upper half is comprised of LED working lights. A set of additional safety features, comprising excessive beams, is strategically integrated into the entrance bumper.
The standout feature of the Hyptec HL is its cleverly concealed interactive LED display embedded in the device’s entrance face. The selection comprises a variety of relatively innocuous products. Hytec HL’s driver enables seamless scanning of both textual content and simple images via this feature. Zeekr, backed by Geely, has introduced a distinct design feature that sets it apart from others: its distinctive Zeekr Stargate LED panel, a visual hallmark of the brand.
Extra about Hyptec HL
The Hyptec HL’s physical dimensions reach an impressive 5,126 mm in length and 3,088 mm in wheelbase. The compact size belies its impressive stature, with a length only marginally greater than that of the second-generation Nio ES8. The GAC has chosen to withhold images of the interior of the HL models from public view. Notwithstanding the absence of official images, we did catch a fleeting glimpse of the vehicle’s cabin through spy photographs. The HYTec HL features a practical and spacious interior layout, boasting six seats arranged in a comfortable 2+2+2 configuration.
The Hypetec HL battery system operates on an 800V high-voltage platform, designed specifically for 5C rapid charging capabilities. The fivefold characteristic of a 5C charger refers to its ability to replenish an electric vehicle’s battery at a rate that is five times the battery’s capacity, not the charging capability. The model’s flagship SUV is likely to debut with the option of a dual-motor four-wheel drive system. Will its peak energy output finally be revealed? The HYTec HL range boasts a range of innovative features, including air suspension and integration with an advanced AI-driven ADIGO 6.0 driving assistance system.
