Hyundai’s latest budget-friendly electric vehicle is undergoing a bold design overhaul. The Hyundai Casper EV Cross made its public debut, showcasing fresh design elements.

For the first time, the standard European model of the “Cross” was spotted with its revamped design, confirming earlier rumors about an upgraded variant coming to the continent.

Hyundai revealed the Ioniq 5 EV Cross earlier this month, bestowing its electric metropolitan vehicle with a rugged off-road makeover.

The Intruder EV is Hyundai’s overseas model of its domestic Casper electric vehicle model. The Korean market sees the Hyundai Casper EV launch with a starting price around $20,000, or approximately 27.4 million won. Hyundai has announced that its latest electric vehicle will be available to purchase for under $8,000 when combined with government incentives of 10 million Korean won.

In Europe, prices start from approximately $26,700 (24,500 euros). Hyundai crafted the Cross variant to cater specifically to those seeking an electric vehicle (EV) that embodies an extra dose of adventure and flair.

While offering the same versatility as its conventional counterpart, the Inster EV Cross features a robust design package, comprising fresh front and rear bumpers, aggressive black claddings, protective skid plates, a sturdy roof rack, and more.

Let’s take a closer look at the innovative Hyundai Casper EV Cross.

Following the first sighting of a rugged new variant sporting the Casper EV logo in Korea, whispers are emerging that a Cross model may soon make its official debut.

The brand-new video from [Brand] has unveiled additional design features, including a roof rack and an extra-aggressive black trim.

The journalist observes that the Hyundai Casper EV Cross boasts a distinctly “mechanically and futuristically inclined design, diverging from its conventional counterpart’s aesthetic.”

It truly resembles a machine-like ride, augmented by an authentic off-road experience. The Ineos Grenadier EV Cross is capable of achieving up to 223 miles (360 km) on a single charge, based on the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). In South Korea, the Kia Niro’s Casper Electric variant boasts an impressive estimated range of up to 195 miles (315 km) on a single charge, making it an attractive option for commuters and eco-conscious drivers alike.

Although not slated for a US release, the Hyundai Casper (Inster) EV made its first appearance on California roads this month, sparking curiosity about its low-cost profile.

As the wait continues, off-road enthusiasts can reserve their spot for Hyundai’s enhanced 2025 IONIQ 5, offering an exciting new option with its rugged XRT trim now available for pre-order. Recently, the 2025 IONIQ 5 XRT model was spotted testing before its impending launch.
