For the first time in October, Geely acquired more than 100,000 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in a single month. While BYD’s sales have surpassed 500,000 units, Geely’s rapid growth in the NEV market demonstrates its emerging strength as a significant player in this sector.
In October, Geely’s new energy vehicle (NEV) gross sales reached 108,722 units, marking a significant 19% increase from the previous month and a substantial 83% surge compared to the same period last year. While cumulative NEV sales from January to October already stood at 654,576 units, it is likely that Geely will need to achieve around 900,000 in total for the full year.
Notably, a staggering 63,492 models in October can be attributed to the Geely Galaxy range, which has made its debut just within the past year and comprises both electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).
Geely recently unveiled its NordThor 2.0 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) system, known as EM-i, which is expected to power the upcoming Galaxy Starship 7 and Galaxy L6 sedan models. Featuring a cutting-edge Integrated Cooling System (ICE) boasting a remarkable thermal effectiveness of 46.5%, alongside an innovative 11-in-1 electrical drive, this technological marvel sets a new standard for performance and efficiency. The NordThor 2.0 boasts an impressive combined range of 2,390 km, along with a fuel-efficient consumption rate of just 2.67 litres per 100 kilometres.

The Zeekr brand delivered a significant 25,049 vehicles in October alone. Gross sales are poised to accelerate in the coming months, driven by the simultaneous launches of both the Combine and the 7X. Zeekr currently offers a lineup of all-electric vehicles exclusively.
In the meantime, Lynk & Co bought 19,992 autos in October. Until recently, the model’s sole electric vehicle (NEV) offerings have consisted of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), equipped with the high-performance EM-P variant of the NordThor powertrain. Twelve months ago, the brand unveiled the Z10 sedan, its inaugural all-electric model. The model premiered its second fully electric vehicle, the Z20, in Europe during October.
In September, Geely expanded its offerings with the launch of the GeomXingyuan. By October 27, over 11,500 units had already been delivered, with a surge in demand seen throughout the month: orders surpassed 50,000 by mid-October alone.
