BYD’s Denza Z9 sedan interior revealed, launch set for Nov 15
SHARE

BYD’s premium Denza brand unveiled official interior images of its latest mid-to-large sedan, the Denza Z9, on October 31st through official media outlets. The pre-sale value ranges from approximately 339,800 to 419,800 yuan (equivalent to around $47,700 to $58,900 USD). The highly anticipated official launch is slated to take place at the prestigious Guangzhou Auto Show in November.

This innovative mannequin showcases cutting-edge features including advanced high-steering precision, effortless U-turn navigation akin to a built-in compass, and remarkable crab-walking abilities. The Denza Z9 is expected to be joined by two more models in 2024: the Denza N9 and Denza N7, with their latest designs set to debut.

Extra on the Denza Z9

While maintaining the Denza Z9 GT’s overall aesthetic, the Z9’s design features subtle variations that set it apart. The sleek dashboard design features crisp, linear lines complemented by metallic chrome accents and a rich wooden grain pattern. Inside, the vehicle boasts a sleek four-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a comprehensive digital instrument cluster, and generous display screens for both front-seat occupants. Unlike its Denza Z9 GT counterpart, the vehicle features a column-mounted gearshift.

The Z9 model boasted a rear entertainment system featuring retractable screens and conveniently fold-out tables for added comfort and relaxation during travel. The vehicle’s rear seats feature adjustable leg rests for added comfort and support during long trips. The automotive’s measurements are 5,220mm (length), 1,990mm (width), and 1,500mm (height), with a wheelbase of 3,125mm. The length, width, and height of the Z9 GT measure 5180mm by 1990mm by 1480mm.

The Denza Z9 maintains its distinctive closed grille design, featuring chunky cut-up headlamps and a pronounced reduction in air intake. The electric and plug-in hybrid models showcase subtle differences in the design of their air intake openings. The Z9’s rear features a traditional sedan silhouette, distinguished by a more streamlined roofline compared to its Z9 GT counterpart’s wagon styling. The LED tail lamps feature a distinctive eight-group dot-matrix pattern, mirroring that of the Z9 GT.

The Denza Z9 offers a range of options when it comes to energy, available in both pure-electric and plug-in hybrid configurations. The prototype features a trio of electrical motors, comprising one 230-kilowatt unit and two 480-kilowatt motors positioned at the rear, collectively generating 710 kilowatts of power. The plug-in hybrid model boasts an impressive combined motor output of 640 kW, paired with a potent 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 207 horsepower. While the hybrid model boasts an impressive range of 1,100 km, its all-electric counterpart surprisingly offers a respectable 630 km distance.
