General Motors’ flagship luxury brand is poised to revolutionize the automotive landscape with the forthcoming launch of its inaugural electric SUV, boasting unparalleled efficiency and eco-friendliness in early 2024. The Cadillac Lyriq-V will pioneer as the first all-electric SUV to don the coveted V-Series badge, a hallmark of General Motors’ commitment to efficiency and innovation.

Cadillac hints at the impending arrival of its 2026 Lyriq-V electric SUV.

The Cadillac Lyriq is undergoing a V-Series treatment, marking a pivotal moment in the luxury brand’s evolution. Cadillac’s Lyriq-V is poised to become the inaugural electric vehicle (EV) SUV to carry the coveted V-Series badge, renowned for its exceptional performance and efficiency standards.

“The Lyriq-V showcases the pinnacle of luxury, efficiency, and innovation that define Cadillac’s DNA,” said John Roth, Vice President of Global Cadillac, on Tuesday.

To date, the V-Sequence has primarily focused on gasoline-powered vehicles, with models such as the Escalade and CT5 serving as prominent examples. As the luxury brand’s pioneering electric vehicle sub-brand transitions to fully electric models, the impending release of an electric SUV holds significant importance.

The all-new Cadillac Lyriq-V is set to revolutionize the game with its unprecedented fuel efficiency, further solidifying the V-Series’ reputation for pushing boundaries.

Cadillac’s efficient electric SUV is poised for global availability in international markets, including the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, in both left- and right-hand drive configurations. The corporation will unveil additional markets in the lead-up to launch.

The Cadillac brand is teasing the 2026 Lyriq-V, set to become the first electric SUV to don the esteemed V-Series badge.

Ahead of its official premiere, Cadillac has unveiled a teaser for the 2026 Lyriq-V, offering a first glimpse at the electric SUV’s performance capabilities.

As expected from an efficiency model, the V-Series sits lower than the average Lyriq SUV for enhanced stability and agility.

Additionally, some designs may incorporate more prominent features such as enhanced air intake systems and bold, angular bumper designs at both the front and rear of the vehicle.

While specifications may remain uncertain until closer to its release, the forthcoming V-Series model appears set to surpass the current most powerful 2025 Twin Motor AWD Lyriq, boasting a projected 515 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque.

Cadillac’s new electric efficiency model arrives as the brand’s popular Lyriq sales continue to soar. General Motors delivered more than 7,200 units of its Lyriq electric vehicles in the United States during the third quarter, a significant surge of 139% compared to the same period in 2022. Within its first nine months of 2024, Cadillac has successfully delivered more than 20,300 units of its pioneering Lyriq electric SUV to customers in the United States.
