With no significant updates in sight until the likely refresh for the 2026 model year, the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid SUV remains a carryover from last year.
Jeep has officially confirmed the pricing discrepancy, which translates to an additional cost of $1,795 when considering the destination fee, specifically affecting the base Restricted trim level. The plug-in hybrid variant of the Grand Cherokee offers a significant boost in performance and efficiency compared to its non-hybrid counterpart.
Above the base Restricted trim lies the Trailhawk, an off-road-specific variant exclusive to the 4xe, boasting a starting price of $67,980 including destination charges. The top-tier Overland ($75,275) and Summit ($76,465) trims round out the model range seamlessly.

The four-wheel-drive Wrangler remains available exclusively as a two-door model. The Jeep brand offers a range of models, including the three-row Grand Cherokee L and its non-hybrid, two-row counterparts, all powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 engine.
As a result of its 2022 model year introduction, the Grand Cherokee 4xe has emerged as the second-best-selling plug-in hybrid in the U.S., according to Jeep, just behind its own Wrangler 4xe.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe and each of its fashion variants utilize the same plug-in hybrid system, centered around a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. This configuration preserves the mechanical four-wheel-drive system found in non-hybrid models, thereby enabling maximum off-road capability in the Grand Cherokee 4xe.
