This month, Nissan Ariya owners will start receiving NACS adapters, enabling them to charge their vehicles at compatible Tesla Superchargers, a significant upgrade. Additionally, the company has made another major revelation, which is yet to be disclosed.

Tesla’s expansion into Supercharger stations will significantly broaden access to public charging infrastructure for the Nissan Ariya and other electric vehicles. By 2025, Nissan plans to begin supplying electric vehicles to the US and Canadian markets, equipped with North American Charging Standard (NACS) ports for seamless charging convenience. At this time, the automaker does not provide any additional information.

Nissan announces the launch of its Nissan Energy Cost Community, a comprehensive platform that integrates over 90,000 DC fast charging points across the US through partnerships with Electrify America, Shell Recharge, ChargePoint, and EVgo networks. Nissan aims to introduce additional connectivity options in the near future.

Nissan’s innovative Energy Cost Community now allows Nissan Ariya owners, along with future Nissan electric vehicle (EV) drivers, to seamlessly manage their EVs and public charging stations through a streamlined experience within the MyNISSAN app.

The app empowers drivers to effortlessly locate charging stations, view up-to-the-minute charger availability, and seamlessly settle payment for charging via a pre-set fee method. When members of the NISSAN ENERGY Cost Community arrive at an EV charging station, they simply tap a button on the screen to initiate their charging session. The new feature will be available to MyNISSAN app customers by November 2024.

Despite its limitations, Nissan LEAF owners still need access to reliable information; fortunately, they can utilize the NissanConnect EV and Services app to locate nearby charging stations.
