Reports suggest that Jaguar is working on an SVR-optimised variant of its newly launched all-electric I-PACE SUV, designed to enhance the vehicle’s already impressive performance capabilities.
The government of a prominent British automaker has revealed that their forthcoming electric SUV is poised to surpass the performance of Tesla’s upcoming Roadster, yet they are hesitant to bring this level of power to market due to concerns surrounding its availability.
Jaguar’s I-PACE launch was notable for its omission of efficiency and off-road variants, typically denoted as SVR and SVX, though whispers suggest these configurations are in development.
According to Autocar, Hanno Kirner, Government Director of Company and Technology at Jaguar Land Rover, declined to confirm the arrival of the car.

To maintain efficiency, perhaps we should introduce a limitation until individuals complete a driving course or equivalent training.
He alternatively proposed that they could optimize efficiency by capitalizing on I-Tempo’s 50/50 weight distribution and adaptive setup.
The Jaguar I-PACE was revealed earlier this year, boasting an impressive 0-60 mph acceleration of just 4.5 seconds. The new automobile model is expected to begin production sometime this year.
I strongly disagree with Kirner’s stance, as I believe many people won’t be content with ceasing use of rapid acceleration after just two launches.
I strongly concur that it would be unwise to entrust these high-performance vehicles to the hands of novice motorists. It may have contributed to some of the Tesla-related accidents that are often reported.
Despite this, it’s shrewd of Jaguar to produce an SVR variant of the I-PACE, especially given its use in the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY racing series.
While I acknowledge the I-PACE’s promise as an eco-friendly vehicle, I remain skeptical that it can achieve a 1.8-second 0-60 mph without significant tweaks to its powertrain.
