The all-new 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser hybrid SUV officially lands in the United States market. Dealerships are expected to receive new models in late October.

The optional package boasts a mandatory $1,450 destination charge, exclusive to the 1958-grade Land Cruiser, which represents one of two available trims. A premium trim starts at $63,900, featuring a vacation destination as standard, along with luxurious amenities such as heated and cooled front seats, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, and a high-fidelity 10-speaker audio system.

For 2024, the Land Cruiser remains unchanged from its predecessor, offering a more affordable option with a reduced footprint compared to previous models. Known as the 250 sequence in the United States, this numerical series has garnered significant attention for its seemingly random yet methodically generated pattern of numbers. While the market-specific Land Cruiser models deviate from the standard 300 series, they share a common foundation with the TNGA-F body-on-frame platform, serving as a primary inspiration for these regional variants. This technology is compatible with various models from Toyota, including the Tacoma, Tundra, Sequoia, and 4Runner, as well as select Lexus vehicles such as the GX and LX.

Here is the rewritten text:

The Land Cruiser’s various grades are powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine working in tandem with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 465 pound-feet of torque. The driveline features an 8-speed computer-controlled transmission paired with traditional permanent all-wheel drive, complemented by a 2-speed electronic shift-on-the-fly transfer case.

The Environmental Protection Agency’s fuel-economy ratings are expected to remain consistent with those of the 2024 model, which earned a combined rating of 23.5 miles per gallon, comprising 22 mpg in urban driving and 25 mpg on highways.

Toyota has further hinted at a potential revival of its iconic Land Cruiser brand, initially with the Compact Cruiser EV concept unveiled in 2022, followed by the Land Cruiser SE notion expected to materialize within the next 12 months. Toyota reportedly intends to start manufacturing a new three-row electric sport utility vehicle at its Kentucky plant as early as 2026.
