Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has issued a recall for nearly 200,000 Jeep plug-in hybrid SUVs due to concerns over potential battery fires.

Following reports of 13 instances of battery fires, Stellantis is issuing a global recall, advising homeowners to park their vehicles outdoors and at least 100 feet away from any structures until a repair can be performed. Additionally, owners are instructed to avoid charging their vehicles until the issue is resolved.

Stellantis announced a recall affecting 154,032 vehicles sold in the US market, with an additional 14,038 units in Canada, 673 in Mexico, and 25,502 beyond North America.
