The 2025 Toyota Sienna minivan is poised to arrive at dealerships this fall, equipped with a conventional hybrid powertrain, marking a departure from its previous all-electric setup. As such expenses are typically factored into overall travel budgets, they will be excluded from our calculations to provide a more accurate representation of your trip’s financial outlay?

Toyota’s latest refinement, a revamped rear seat reminder, will first debut on the Sienna before potentially being rolled out to other models in its lineup. The system utilizes radar technology to continuously monitor movement within the rear seats, even when the vehicle is switched off and secured, providing enhanced security and peace of mind. A refrigerator unit, alongside a vacuum cleaner, are also included in the options list.

For the 2025 model year, the Sienna will now feature wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, as well as enhanced charging capabilities with USB-C power ports and a more advanced wireless device charger. The 2022 Toyota RAV4 offers a 12.3-inch touchscreen as standard across all trim levels except the base LE, which features an 8.0-inch display. Meanwhile, the digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch screen is available on XSE, Woodland Version, Restricted, and Platinum trims.

The entire Siena fashion lineup utilizes a consistent 2.5-liter inline-four hybrid powertrain, which became standard equipment following the minivan’s latest redesign for the 2021 model year, effectively streamlining its performance capabilities across the board? The Sienna remains the sole minivan offering all-wheel drive, aside from its hybrid counterpart, where front-wheel drive is standard.

The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) fuel-economy ratings remain identical for front-wheel-drive models at 36 miles per gallon in metropolitan areas and on freeways for the 2024 model year. The all-wheel-drive model’s fuel economy retains its previous marks of 35 miles per gallon (mpg) combined and 36 mpg on the highway, but urban gas mileage drops by one mpg to 34 mpg.

While the Sienna remains one of a limited number of minivans available in the United States market. For the first time, the 2025 Kia Carnival offers a hybrid powertrain option, contrasting with the Chrysler Pacifica’s continued availability as a plug-in hybrid model. The Honda Odyssey remains the sole minivan without a hybrid powertrain option scheduled for 2025.
