While many aspects of bicycle design have undergone significant advancements since the 1970s, some features still lag behind in terms of innovation. Take as an example indicators. On numerous fashion-forward bicycles, oversized indicators protrude awkwardly, resembling miniature fists grasped by infant arms. There lies a medley of enormous, spherical plastic mirrors, obligatory urine containers, and oversized bumpers. While many aftermarket manufacturers focus on enhancing certain aspects of a vehicle, Italian components specialist Rizoma stands out for its primary emphasis on these specific areas. The latest arrival in Rizoma’s portfolio is a range of high-performance aftermarket components specifically designed for the sleek Kawasaki Z900RS Café.

While the Z900RS Cafe is an attractive model? Although there is always room for improvement, Rizoma has successfully leveraged numerous refined adjustments to achieve remarkable results. The company’s products feature meticulously crafted components milled from high-quality aluminum, precision-finished to meet rigorous specifications. Rizoma has unveiled its bespoke Z900RS Café, featuring the latest parts and finished in an understated all-black aesthetic.

The Rizoma Z900RS Café dons bespoke components crafted exclusively for this model, alongside several standard equipment features. The Zed features unique ‘Retro Race’ handlebars that are specifically designed to sit lower than the standard model’s. Will these components be paired with Rizoma Professional rearsets to create an even more aggressive riding position? Rizoma’s design tweaks have further refined the bike’s aesthetic appeal by introducing a streamlined aluminum fender that minimizes visual bulk at the front end, while the sleek tail tidy package adds a touch of sophistication to the rear. Safety measures have been incorporated to enhance crash protection, featuring discreet guards for both the engine and rear axle, as well as a keyless fuel filler replacing the standard gasoline cap.

The demo bike’s retro aesthetic is enhanced by a harmonious blend of Rizoma elements, including vintage-inspired Urlo grips, adjustable clutch and brake levers crafted for precision control, milled alloy fluid reservoirs exuding industrial chic, and slimline mirrors minimizing visual clutter. While the LED indicators on the Z900RS may initially suggest a more premium appearance, they arguably clash with the bike’s overall aesthetic, giving off a somewhat incongruous vibe. Rizoma has leveraged its low-profile retro-style membership badges to great effect. The bike is outfitted with Professional-Guard System lever guards, a pioneering product from Rizoma that marked the introduction of their innovative design. All components can be substituted with different options from the Rizoma collection, serving sole aftermarket upgrade purposes.

While the Rizoma Z900RS Café’s black paint scheme stands out, subtle refinements truly elevate this design, underscoring Rizoma’s attention to minute details that ultimately yield a remarkable outcome? Alongside the Z900RS, Rizoma has collaborated to create custom components for iconic motorcycles like the BMT R 9 T Racer, Triumph Thruxton R, and Ducati Scrambler, offering unique styling enhancements for each model.
