The Baojun Yunnai boasts a fresh design aesthetic inspired by its latest model updates. The exterior design features distinctive triangular-shaped headlights and a striking trapezoidal air intake grille. The built-in daytime running lights (DRLs) of these headlamps bear a striking resemblance to those on Porsche vehicles. The Yunhai SUV boasts a sporty, sloping hood design and elegantly styled traditional door handles that exude a sense of sophistication. Its subtle roofline subtly curves after the B-pillar. The rear finish of this automotive features an substantial roof spoiler and a striking taillight assembly.

What are the key dimensions of the Baojun Yunhai? Its measurements comprise 4,590mm in length, 1,880mm in width, and 1,608mm in height, with a wheelbase spanning 2,750mm. At just over 4.4 meters in length, the vehicle boasts a compact design, rivaling the European variant of the popular Hyundai Tucson. The Yunhai model features R18 wheels for optimal performance and ride quality. It’s worth noting that the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) version of this sport utility vehicle features an even more assertive front fascia, boasting additional air inlets for enhanced aerodynamics and visual appeal.

The hybrid powertrain combines a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated gasoline engine producing 78 kilowatts (105 horsepower) with an electric motor delivering 150 kilowatts (201 horsepower). Two battery options are available for the Yunhai PHEV: a 9.5-kilowatt-hour pack that provides up to 60 kilometers of electric vehicle range, or a larger 20.5-kilowatt-hour pack that extends the electric-only driving distance to approximately 140 kilometers.

The high-end Baojun Yunhai electric variant boasts a premium price tag. The model comes equipped with an identical 150-kilowatt electric motor onboard. Battery options range from 56.7 kilowatt-hours to 69.2 watt-hours. The all-electric range varies from 500 to 600 kilometers (according to the China Lightweight Truck Cycle, CLTC).
