BYD officially debuts the 2025 Han, unveiling nine distinct models across its DM-i and EV ranges. Costs for the brand-new PHEV models range from 165,800 to 225,800 yuan ($23,300-$31,700) and for the EV model from 179,800 to 235,800 yuan ($25,250-$33,100). The new PHEV variant offers a significant price reduction of 4,000 yuan (approximately 550 USD), making it more affordable than its predecessor, with the electric vehicle models retaining the same pricing. Frequent updates bring significant enhancements in technology and performance, enabling the Han to remain competitive in the mid-to-large sedan segment.

The 2025 Han’s EV lineup boasts multiple battery options, offering driving ranges spanning from 506 kilometers to 701 kilometers on a single charge, contingent upon the specific variant. The electric variants are equipped with BYD’s latest Blade Battery technology, renowned for its upgraded safety and durability. The electric vehicles’ fashion options also feature rapid charging capabilities, allowing drivers to quickly top off their batteries, reaching an impressive 80% charge within just 30 minutes. At an impressive pace, the EV variants can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 7.9 seconds, showcasing their remarkable efficiency.

The BYD brand offers a range of PHEV models, leveraging its cutting-edge fifth-generation DM-i hybrid technology. Combining a 1.5T turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor, the powertrain produces a combined output of 315 Newton meters (Nm) of torque. The 0-to-100 km/h acceleration time stands at 6.9 seconds; when operating in hybrid mode, it boasts a fuel efficiency rating of 3.8 litres per 100 kilometres. The DM-i mannequin boasts an impressive estimated range of up to 1,350 kilometers (CLTC) on a single full tank, offering unparalleled fuel efficiency.

Introducing a bold new colour option, “Vogue Grey”, which joins the roster of exciting hues available for this innovative vehicle. Meanwhile, the DM-i and EV variants have adopted a harmonious shared front-end design, boasting a sleek, unified aesthetic that sets them apart from their predecessors. The entrance grille has undergone simplification, adopting a more streamlined and enclosed design that enhances the automotive’s cutting-edge aesthetic, while a black sports package subtly emphasizes its dynamic appeal. At 4,975 millimeters in length, 1,910 millimeters wide, and 1,495 millimeters tall, the vehicle’s dimensions remain consistent with earlier designs, boasting a wheelbase of 2,920 millimeters.

Interior upgrades focus on enhancing customer satisfaction and familiarity. This 15.6-inch 2.5K touchscreen infotainment system seamlessly integrates interactive features, including voice commands and intuitive 3D navigation. Luxurious features abound in the driving force and entrance passenger seats, boasting advanced 10-point massaging techniques that cater to every need. Meanwhile, subtle ambient lighting and intuitive customizable seat settings converge to elevate the driving experience to unprecedented heights. The Han boasts a cutting-edge 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system, engineered to deliver exceptional audio fidelity through its customizable sound modes and pinpoint spatial acoustics.

The 2025 Han is set to feature BYD’s DiPilot 300 system, incorporating LiDAR technology and the powerful Nvidia Orin-X processor, delivering enhanced freeway and concrete road piloting capabilities. It also features the innovative DiSus-C clever damping system, which seamlessly adjusts suspension settings to prioritize either comfort or stability as needed. The Han offers a range of advanced features, including 31 sensors and an updated rear suspension, designed to enhance safety and security on the road.
