The Jaguar I-PACE, the company’s inaugural all-electric vehicle, has struggled with sluggish US sales, but the automaker is now offering 0% financing on the model as a limited-time incentive to boost demand for the electric SUV.

The Jaguar I-PACE is experiencing a steady increase in momentum.

While the electric crossover performs decently well in certain European markets, its overall growth remains relatively slow.

In its first nine months on the market, Jaguar sold approximately 6,500 units of its all-electric I-PACE SUV across Europe.

In the United States, Jaguar’s automotive sales were limited to a few months in 2018, with approximately 400 vehicles sold.

The Hyundai Kona Electric’s sibling, the Ioniq Electric, started the year 2019 on a slow note, recording just over 1,000 global sales at its outset.

While supply dynamics remain uncertain, Jaguar is addressing demand concerns in the US with a novel stimulus.

Jaguar has announced its decision to offer

“All-new 2019 Jaguar I-PACE models are eligible for financing at competitive APRs, available to well-qualified buyers through approved lenders.” For financing amounts up to $1,000, the monthly payment can be as low as $16.67 at 0% interest over 60 months, regardless of the down payment amount. All quantities proven are estimates. Retailer units precise quantities. Provides are restricted. Pricing: Taxes, title, and license fees excluded. Residency restrictions apply. The buyer is required to purchase the new automobile supplies from the retailer’s inventory by April 1st, 2019.

The program operates until the end of March and is available at participating Jaguar dealerships.

Contact your local Jaguar dealer to inquire about I-PACE availability and discuss potential deals.

Electrek’s Take

Confusion surrounds Jaguar’s I-PACE sales figures. While I anticipated manufacturing limitations, I expected a more substantial increase six months in.

Our Electrek evaluation of the Jaguar I-PACE highlighted both its stunning design and areas for improvement, including concerns around charging infrastructure, efficiency, and user experience.

While the Hyundai Ioniq 5’s sleek design and impressive performance may generate some interest, it is crucial that it also addresses consumers’ concerns about range anxiety and affordability to truly excel in the market.

As the I-Tempo’s sales trajectory unfolds over the coming months, it will be intriguing to track how the vehicle competes with newly launched electric models such as Audi’s e-tron and Mercedes-Benz’s EQC.
