At the 2024 Chengdu Auto Show, BYD premiered the fully electric Seal 06 GT, set to debut in China sometime between mid-September and late September. The estimated pre-sale value ranges from 150,000 to 200,000 yuan, equivalent to approximately $21,150 to $28,200 USD. Built on the Ocean-M concept, the car offers a unique blend of sporty performance, impressive efficiency, and advanced technological expertise. Global revenue projections indicate a likely onset in early 2025.

The Seal 06 GT, built upon BYD’s cutting-edge e-platform 3.0 Evo, distinguishes itself through its sleek and dynamic exterior design, exuding a sporty essence that sets it apart from the competition. Measuring 46.3 meters in length, 18.7 meters wide, and 14.9 meters high, the vehicle boasts a robust profile, with a wheelbase of 2.82 meters. The vehicle’s exterior design features a sleek, sculpted hood that adds to its overall aesthetic appeal.

A sleek, adaptive active grille system featuring integrated radar technology. A design accentuating a sleek and dynamic sportiness, its flowing lines evoking a sense of fluid motion. The automotive’s rear is accentuated by a distinctive full-width taillight treatment and a refined diffuser, which collectively amplify its sporty aesthetic.

Within its sleek confines, the Seal 06 GT boasts a cutting-edge interior, featuring crisp shell white and rich twilight blue upholstery options that exude a sense of modern sophistication. The vehicle features a 15.6-inch adaptive floating display, a 10.25-inch full-LCD instrument panel, and a 12-inch high-definition head-up display.

The automotive also boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including wireless charging capabilities and a premium DiLink 100 intelligent cockpit system, which enables seamless voice control and 3D vehicle administration.

The Seal 06 GT offers both single- and dual-motor configurations to suit diverse driving needs. The one-motor variant provides a dual-energy option: either 160 kilowatts (310 Newton meters) or 165 kilowatts (330 Newton meters). With its 110 kW entry motor and 200 kW rear motor, this twin-motor model achieves a remarkable 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 4.9 seconds. The electric vehicle offers two battery options: a 59.52-kilowatt-hour pack and a 72.96-kilowatt-hour variant, respectively delivering ranges of 505 kilometres, 605 kilometres, and 550 kilometres – exceeding the Chinese Low-Temperature Cycle (CLTC) standards.
