Hyundai’s budget-friendly Casper electric vehicle (EV) is now available for lease at an affordable daily rate of under $8. Hyundai’s latest electric SUV has become an even more affordable option for drivers with the introduction of its innovative “Battery Care Lease” program, offering a cost-effective alternative to its gasoline-powered counterpart.

Last month, Hyundai announced the availability of its new Casper Electric model in Korea, with pre-orders now open and starting at a competitive price point of just $23,000 (approximately 31.5 million received).

Hyundai has announced that its compact Casper EV model will be available at an attractive starting price of just $14,500, with a substantial 20 million units expected to be sold. The South Korean automaker has made its latest model more affordable for domestic buyers.

Hyundai introduces a novel Battery Care Lease program specifically designed for its innovative Casper electric vehicle (EV). In South Korea, a pioneering programme has been launched to revolutionise car leasing by factoring in the residual value of an electric vehicle’s battery.

When leasing a brand-new electric vehicle (EV), drivers can access valuable insights into their battery performance, charging habits, and driving patterns through the intuitive Hyundai Capital app.

Hyundai Capital will incentivize environmentally responsible driving by paying drivers up to $225, provided their leased vehicle’s battery meets specific criteria, following the conclusion of the lease agreement, contingent on receipt of $300,000.

Hyundai’s new Casper EV is poised to debut at a significantly more affordable price point.

Hyundai estimates the average lifespan of its Casper Electric fashion models to be approximately 10 years, with the option to cover any remaining value through advance purchase programs.

Prospects leasing Casper Electric vehicles for a five-year term are eligible for a battery value reduction at the end of their lease, should they choose to scrap the vehicle within ten years of initial purchase.

Hyundai has announced that its Casper EV model will be available for lease at a daily rate of less than $7.50 (approximately 10,000 Korean won), a price point even more affordable than its gasoline-powered counterpart.

A five-year lease for a gas-powered 1.0T Inspiration Casper mannequin costs approximately KRW 287,000 per month. South Korea’s Hyundai offers its compact Casper electric vehicle with a unique battery care lease plan for approximately $205 (KRW 273,000) per 30 days.

The innovative leasing programme is designed to alleviate buyer concerns over battery life and reduce the initial cost barrier for electric vehicle adoption, according to a Hyundai Motor Company spokesperson.

Following a highly publicised battery fire incident in Korea, Hyundai introduced this safety measure. Auto manufacturers such as Hyundai have introduced innovative battery solutions and implemented various initiatives to alleviate concerns about their electric vehicles.

The Casper EV will henceforth be known as the Innervest EV on the European continent. Starting at under $27,000 (25,000 euros), this vehicle is expected to achieve up to 221 miles (225 km) in combined WLTP driving.
