The Avatr 012’s dimensions mirror those of its counterpart, the 2024 Avatr 12, boasting a length of 5,020 mm, width of 1,999 mm, and height of 1,450 mm, with a wheelbase stretching 3,020 mm. The energy supply stems from a harmonious union of Huawei’s DriveONE system and CATL’s advanced 5C Qilin battery pack, enabling rapid refueling: in just 10 minutes, the battery can be recharged from 30% to 80% capacity using quick-charge technology. While specifics of the powertrain remain under wraps, no official details have been made public. Nonetheless, according to Chinese language media DongCheDi, the Avatr 012 boasts a comprehensive powertrain with a total output of 425 kW (570 horsepower) and torque of 650 Nm, complemented by a 195 kW (261 horsepower) and 280 Nm front motor, as well as a 230 kW (308 horsepower) and 370 Nm rear motor. The Continental Longitudinal Traverse (CLTC) varies in length by approximately 650 kilometers.
The Avatar 012 features 21-inch cast-mirror-finish rims. Modern design elements, such as digital facet mirrors and discreetly integrated door handles, are also notable omissions.
The exterior of the Avatr 012 maintains a consistent design theme with its predecessor, the Avatr 12. The all-new automobile boasts a sleek, high-gloss finish courtesy of its distinctive “liquid silver” paint job. The front fascia features a unique E-shaped headlight configuration, complemented by a cutting-edge HALO display comprising 10,500 individual lamp beads, along with a strategically placed lidar sensor nestled within the grille’s central axis. The grille can mechanically open and close to facilitate warm air dissipation and air intake. During the same time, two additional lidars integrated into the fenders enable enhanced driving assistance capabilities through Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 3.0 technology.
Additionally, the rear features slender brake lights and an angular tail fin that adds to its sleek appearance.
Inside, the cockpit’s design mirrors that of the Avatur 12, featuring a sleek heat-colored aesthetic and seamlessly integrating with Huawei’s cutting-edge HarmonyOS 4. The minimalist design approach sees a consolidation of physical controls, complemented by a futuristic-looking polygonal steering wheel, a commanding 15.6-inch central infotainment display, and a expansive 35.4-inch 4K resolution touchscreen that seamlessly integrates the instrument cluster with the multimedia system.
