Zeekr 007 wagon confirmed by CEO and will launch in 2025

In an earlier announcement, CEO An Conghui confirmed the existence of a new electric vehicle and predicted its launch in 2025. Dubbed the CC1E, scant information surrounds this Nio ET5T rival. Concurrently, An revealed that Zeekr’s upcoming flagship large sport utility vehicle (SUV) is slated for a launch in the third quarter of 2025. The automotive industry currently employs the EX1E code identifier to recognize vehicles.

Traditionally, station wagons have enjoyed limited popularity in the Chinese consumer market. Despite this, the recent surge in electric vehicles (EVs) has led to a subtle increase in Chinese car manufacturers’ efforts to make their products more appealing for export to European markets.

Drawing parallels between the upcoming Wagon model of the 007 series and its sedan counterpart, as well as observing how competitors have successfully adapted the design of their sedans into wagons, provides valuable insights into what we can expect from this new iteration.

Nio’s ET5T shares identical dimensions with its sibling, the sedan ET5: 4,790mm in length, 1,996mm in width, and 1,499mm in height, along with a wheelbase of 2,888mm. While sharing a platform with the Neta S sedan, the wagon’s specifications reveal near-identical dimensions: 4,980mm in length, 1,980mm in width, and 1,480mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,980mm – the sole distinction being a 30mm increase in top over its sedan counterpart. Considering this specific characteristic, it is crucial to meticulously examine the Zeekr 007 Wagon’s dimensions, carefully comparing them to those of the sedan (refer to specifications), with measurements of 4880mm in length, 1900mm in width, and 1448mm in height, as well as a wheelbase of 2928mm. At approximately half the size of the Nio ET5T and Neta S wagon along their dimensional axes, this automotive prototype presents a mid-point profile.

Multiple online enthusiasts have shared conceptual designs suggesting that the automaker may develop a wagon variant, drawing inspiration from the Nio ET5T’s design. While speculation suggests the Exeed Exlantix ES Wagon may debut soon, as of now, this remains purely hypothetical for James Bond and his ilk, pending concrete visual evidence in the form of leaked images or official reveals.

The possibility exists that the wagon variant may be included in the lineup for the 2026 model year Zeekr 007 launch. Notwithstanding the passage of time, our most informed understanding of what to expect regarding efficiency and configuration stems from the recently unveiled 2025 model-year sedan. Here is the rewritten text:

The company offers an alternative between two high-capacity batteries: the 75 kWh Golden Brick battery, a self-developed design, and the 100 kWh Qilin battery from CATL, featuring 5.5C rapid charging capabilities in its second-generation technology type. The Zeekr claims emphasize that its 007 model boasts the world’s fastest charging capabilities for an electric vehicle, achieving a remarkable 10-to-80 percent state of charge (SOC) recharge time of just 10.5 minutes.

The Tesla Model 3 Long Range 007 sedan is available in both single-motor and dual-motor configurations. All models employ a consistent 310kW electrical motor at the rear axle, while dual-motor configurations supplement this with an additional 165kW motor upfront. Depending on the specific configuration and battery pack installed, this electric vehicle’s estimated range spans from approximately 616 to 870 kilometres.

As a key component of Zeekr’s 2025 model year upgrade, the Zeekr 007 has been equipped with the advanced Haohan Intelligent Driving 2.0 system, significantly enhancing its autonomous capabilities. The advanced autonomous vehicle utilizes more than 30 sophisticated sensors, in conjunction with high-resolution Lidar, to operate seamlessly on a foundation of Lidar-visual data fusion. By the time the autonomous vehicle is launched in 2025, the system is expected to offer seamless door-to-door transportation. Two Nvidia Orin-X chips combine to deliver a remarkable 508 teraoperations per second (TOPS) of computing power, empowering the development of advanced driver-assistance systems.

Within the cockpit, the Zeekr 007 boasts a 15-inch OLED central display, integrated with a 35.5-inch augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD) system and a LCD instrument panel. Options include a 21-speaker premium audio system, an advanced AI-infused fragrance dispenser, and a panoramic sunroof that spans the cabin.

The Zeekr 007 proved to be a game-changer in terms of sales performance, emerging as the top-selling model. While there is limited knowledge about the wagon model currently, its export potential will undoubtedly enhance its appeal further.
