In the past, our reports indicated that the Honda e:NP1, a product of the Honda-Dongfeng joint venture, initially came to market as a single dual-motor variant featuring an impressive electric range of approximately 620 kilometers. According to recent regulatory updates, the brand is set to introduce a single-motor variant.

Honda’s YS7 SUV recently debuted on the market, surprising us with its lack of diversity, as it offers only a single model with minimal variations. Based primarily on novel data, it is reasonable to infer that the twin-motor configuration represents the flagship variant, while most models employ a solitary motor.

According to MIIT specifications, the only motor model’s weights are 2178kg, 2191kg, and 2175kg. With the option to choose between 19- or 21-inch wheels, discerning patrons can customize their experience further. The single-motor model’s dimensions mirror those of its dual-motor counterpart, measuring 4750mm in length, 1930mm in width, and 1625mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2930mm. The angles of strategy and departure for the Honda YeS7 are 17° and 24°, respectively.

The rear-wheel drive model is equipped with an identical TZ220XSAMCF81 electric motor found in the all-wheel drive configuration, producing a peak output of 200 kilowatts. The highest speed at which an automobile operates is 180 kilometers per hour. While specific details about the battery pack remain scarce, it is known to employ a ternary lithium battery supplied by CATL. Recently, we discovered that the all-wheel-drive model is powered by a sophisticated 89.8-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery, supplied by esteemed manufacturer CATL. While it’s possible the single-motor model employs the same battery, or possibly utilizes the battery powering the heaviest variant. If so, we’ll rely on approximately 700-kilometer CLTC measurements for our calculations. The fact remains little known that a single motor model has three distinct weight variations, leaving unclear the factors contributing to these differences.

The Honda e:NS7 diverges from its predecessors in several key ways, introducing a fresh branding approach that forgoes the traditional horizontal “H” emblem. The front and rear light clusters are inspired by the elongated shape of a letter H, resulting in versatile lighting options. The charging port for the automobile is situated on the right-hand side, above the wheel arch.

Preliminary indications suggest that gross sales of both the single- and dual-motor versions of the Honda eS7 will commence in the near future, likely within a matter of months.
