The latest model year offers standard features for the brand-new variant, yet its fuel-efficient powertrain remains unaltered.

The heated entry seats come standard across all trim levels, whereas the SEL grade boasts additional features such as a heated steering wheel and a panoramic sunroof. A black Appearance Package option is available on the SEL trim level as well.

The second-generation Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid debuted for the 2023 model year. Like its non-hybrid predecessor, the Outlander PHEV shares a platform with the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, as part of a collaboration between the two companies and their larger Japanese partner. Mitsubishi’s best-selling model in the U.S., a three-row compact crossover, currently tops its lineup in this market. lineup.

The EPA-estimated electric range of this vehicle is only marginally greater than the 34-mile capability of the Kia Sportage PHEV and 33-mile range of the Hyundai Tucson PHEV; yet, it still falls short of the 42 miles achieved by the Toyota RAV4 Prime.

The pricing and additional details for the 2025 Outlander Plug-In Hybrid are expected to be announced closer to its market launch later this year, coinciding with its arrival at dealerships in the fall of 2024. By 2026, Mitsubishi aims to introduce one new or revamped model annually for the remainder of the decade, complemented by various hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicle offerings as part of its “Momentum 2030” initiative.
