Bike Of The Day: Custom 2011 Triumph Street Triple 675
SHARE

A 2011 Triumph Road Triple 675, reimagined by Jett Design and Motorelic, boasts a light-weight, race-inspired build that nods to the endurance racing legends of yesteryear. Inspired by the sleek Porsche 908 racing cars of the late 1960s, the paint scheme pays homage to this iconic design era.

The juxtaposition of the white and purple bodywork against the matte finish of the black powder-coated frame creates a striking visual dichotomy that sets this bike apart. The bike’s aesthetic appeal is elevated by its sleek features: a Motorelic aluminum seat cowl, an eye-catching Jett Design entrance fairing, a streamlined fender, a protective windscreen, and a sturdy stomach pan. Ok-tech adjustable dampers on the entrance and Penske adjustable rear shocks enhance the suspension performance. The bike tips the scales at a mere 362 pounds, significantly lighter than the average mannequin’s hefty 408-pound weight.

The upgraded features include the installation of an LED lighting system, replacing the original twin headlight design; the addition of Woodcraft’s adjustable clip-on handlebars accompanied by Motogadget’s LED bar-end turn signals; and a custom-fitted Scotts Efficiency steering damper for enhanced control and stability. The Jett Design’s innovative radiator fins significantly enhance the performance of the existing manufacturing unit’s radiator.

The interior features a luxurious option: black Alcantara upholstery, tastefully accented with subtle purple diamond stitching. The bike comes equipped with its original factory-installed instrumentation, featuring a 16k-rpm tachometer and a digital display. The extra components that enhance the overall performance of this high-performance motorcycle include the Renthal black grips, Daytona 675 brake lever cylinder, clutch, and throttle cables.

The bike’s powertrain features a sophisticated liquid-cooled, 675cc inline-three cylinder engine, boasting four valves per cylinder for optimal combustion efficiency. The unit is mated to a precise six-speed transmission, which works in harmony with a Yoyodyne slipper clutch designed to minimize wheel-hop and ensure seamless shifting under aggressive riding conditions. With the ECU reprogrammed and a high-performance BMC Racing Series air filter installed, the engine’s power output has been significantly enhanced. A precision-crafted SC Challenge three-into-one race header seamlessly integrates into a bespoke Motorelic-built exhaust system, featuring a dramatic Moto2-inspired megaphone muffler that amplifies the engine’s potent roar. Effortlessly optimized performance is achieved through the incorporation of a precision-engineered APE timing chain tensioner, seamlessly integrated with a lightweight 520 chain that glides effortlessly across Superlite sprockets.
