The LEVC London Electric Vehicle Company L380 minivan, a product of the Chinese conglomerate Geely Group, commenced deliveries in mainland China at a starting price of ¥2.5 million, equivalent to approximately $376,000 USD. Established in 1919, LEVC (London EV Company) succeeds the iconic British London Taxi Firm, now under the ownership of Geely. Since 2013, the company has been owned by the Chinese automaker, which relocated its production plant to Zhejiang, China in that year. The LEVC model range currently comprises two vehicles: the TX taxi and the L380 minivan. The latter automobile has already started delivering vehicles in China. Representatives from LEVC recently discussed plans for the L380 to debut in the UK market by 2026.
LEVC L380 began deliveries
The LEVC VN5, a pioneering electric van, successfully emerged from production in January of this year. Despite everything, pre-orders for the figurine launched in May. The official launch of the car took place in June. The London Electric Vehicle Company’s (LEVC) first all-electric taxi, the L380, reached its initial customers exactly seven months after the initial vehicle’s assembly, landing in the hands of passengers on July 25. The LEVC Minim van is a full-size electric minivan conceived by Brett Boydell, previously an engineer at Bentley. Built upon Geely’s Scalable Operating Architecture (SOA), rooted in the versatile SEA platform.
