Sensible has announced that the production model of its all-electric Sensible #5 SUV will make its global premiere on August 28 in China, marking a significant milestone for the brand. The brand-new automobile prioritizes its outdoor features and was officially announced by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in early June. The official launch is expected to take place at some point later this year.

The exterior of Sensible’s fifth-generation model introduces a novel aesthetic, distinct from its predecessors’ rounded silhouettes, featuring a striking through-type LED light strip that seamlessly connects the polygonal headlights on either side, complemented by a sleek silver bumper. The edges are defined by squares. Traversing rugged terrain is a breeze for these vehicles, thanks to their concealed door handles and sturdy roof-mounted luggage carriers – features that collectively amplify the vehicle’s resilience. This brand-new automobile features a sleek design and runs smoothly on its semi-enclosed rims.

The rear design of the vehicle features symmetrical through-type taillights that mirror the headlights’ configuration, with the “Sensible” model designation prominently displayed above. The car’s profile is completed by a large roof spoiler and a sleek silver bumper that harmoniously echoes the front fascia’s aesthetic. Here is the rewritten text:

The Sensible #5, positioned as a midsize SUV, boasts a robust physical presence, with exterior dimensions measuring 4,705mm in length, 1,920mm in width, and 1,705mm in height, while its wheelbase spans 2,900mm. The curb weight spans a range of 1,800 kg to 2,450 kg.

All configurations, including single-motor and dual-motor trims, will be available for selection. The one-motor variant is capable of delivering up to 250 kW and 267 kW, while the dual-motor version achieves outputs of 165 kW and 267 kW respectively; the Brabus model boasts a dual-motor setup with maximum energies of 165 kW and 310 kW individually. Two battery pack options will be available: 76 kilowatt-hours and 100.01 kilowatt-hours, offering a range of 570 kilometers, 660 kilometers, 670 kilometers, 720 kilometers, and 740 kilometers (based on the Chinese Laboratory Testing Cycle). The Sensible #5 is designed to seamlessly integrate all-terrain driving modes, including off-road, sand, snow, mud, and rock capabilities.

In June, the Sensible model saw a significant decline in its auto offerings, with 4,443 vehicles sold – a year-over-year drop of 25.3%.

  • There are 3,046 models.
  • The automotive industry’s most extensive range of 1,397 models, carefully crafted to cater to diverse consumer preferences.

During the six-month period from January to June 2024, a total of 13,173 Sensible models were sold, with their cumulative gross sales reaching this notable figure.
