In Ypsilanti, Michigan, Moto Nisto’s exceptional skills in motorcycle restoration have transformed a 1980 Yamaha XS650 into an impressive Café Racer. The modifications performed on the bike are truly exceptional and of an outstanding caliber. A high-performance motorcycle was outfitted with a cutting-edge Dynatek digital ignition system, featuring a gleaming gold-painted AirTECH fairing and replaced its distinctive gas tank with a premium aftermarket alternative. To enhance its performance, the vehicle is equipped with innovative twin-entrance disc brakes and striking staggered-diameter wire-spoke wheels that make a bold statement.

Beneath its sleek façade, this bike conceals a powerful 653cc single overhead camshaft parallel twin engine, which teams up with a smooth five-speed manual transmission to deliver unparalleled performance. The iconic motorcycle is distinguished by the notable enhancements and alterations, which feature a pair of Mikuni carburetors cleverly paired with velocity stacks to amplify performance, complemented by Tarozzi clip-on handlebars that enable an aggressive driving position and a sleek two-into-two exhaust system boasting Kerker silencers. The bike features stylish enhancements, including an LED taillight, a Gustafsson windscreen designed to enhance aerodynamics, as well as functional amenities such as heel and side stands.

Upon completing the customization, Moto Nisto installed a plush solo bump seat and replaced the rear shocks with Mikes XS, resulting in a significantly smoother ride. With Moto Nisto’s expert curation and a spotlight to highlight its finest features, this 1980 Yamaha XS650 Cafe Racer truly showcases a masterful blend of style and performance in perfect harmony.
