Daniel Delfour, a skilled violin maker, decided to transpose his artistic flair into creating an exceptionally unique motorcycle. While combining a modified Norton 850 engine with a Laverda 668 Ghost trellis frame may have seemed straightforward at first glance, the reality proved to be significantly more complex.
When Daniel chanced upon a Laverda 650 with a damaged engine stored by his friend, the genesis of an extraordinary idea unfolded. As a devoted off-road enthusiast and fan of the iconic Commando motorcycle, he was convinced that the ultimate racing machine he had in mind would have to be powered by the legendary Commando engine.
With meticulous planning, an array of carefully crafted templates, and painstaking engineering, he brought this concept to fruition. The resulting design seamlessly merged classic and modern elements, yielding a visually stunning and functionally impressive motorcycle.
Since the meticulously crafted masterpiece garnered attention from prominent builders and Daniel’s esteemed colleagues at Coyote Racing, they uniformly concurred that its unique design warranted an invitation to the renowned Concours de’Class in Half Moon Bay.
Assembled in California specifically for the event, the motorcycle commanded universal attention and acclaim from every onlooker who caught sight of its sleek design. Since its inception, its reputation has grown exponentially, rendering it one of the most renowned and frequently photographed bicycles of all kinds.
