Revealed, the Geome Xingyuan a small car from Geely to take on the BYD Dolphin

This isn’t just another iteration from Geely; nor does it stem from subpar craftsmanship at the Geometry production facility. The GeoMe identify appears to be a unique spin on the Geometry sub-brand identity, seemingly designed for those intimidated by mathematical concepts. The Xingyuan, currently without an English name, is a newly launched compact hatchback designed to compete with models like the BYD Dolphin and Wuling Bingo in the market. Thanks to recent revelations from authorities regulators, we’ve gained valuable insights into the matter.

The Geely Geome Xingyuan’s floating roof design bears a striking resemblance to the Good Car’s iconic look, evoking memories of the latter. The vehicle’s frontal design features a self-contained fascia, adorned with inverted droplet-shaped, delicate cluster formations. Flanking the fender are dual, C-configuration air deflectors, situated symmetrically on either side. The notion of the entire phenomenon bears a striking resemblance to a mask.

The sleek aerodynamic wheel fairings resemble miniature sports console control pads and make a striking visual impression. These inline wheels align precisely with our selection criteria, being one of several distinct wheel designs available. Semi-concealed door handles likely represent a balance between cost and aerodynamic considerations. Upon closer inspection of the vehicle’s profile, it becomes apparent that the car features both a C- and D-pillar, subtly distinguished by a small window separating the two. On its rear, the Xingyuan features triangular-shaped foglights and, surprisingly, omits an uncommon rear wiper.

The 2022 Geely Geometry A offers an impressive array of trim levels and options to suit various tastes and budgets. Here’s a comprehensive breakdown of the available choices:

• **Standard**: This entry-level trim features a more minimalist interior, a 10-inch touchscreen display, and a range of basic safety features.

• **Elite**: Elevate your ride with this mid-range trim, which adds premium materials, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.

• **Sport**: For the adrenaline junkies, the Sport trim brings a sport-tuned suspension, aggressive exterior styling, and a unique interior design.

• **Luxury**: Indulge in opulence with this top-tier trim, featuring luxurious leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and advanced infotainment features.

• **Hybrid**: Opt for the eco-friendly Hybrid model, which pairs a conventional engine with an electric motor to deliver improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.

• **Towing Package**: Enhance your Geometry A’s capabilities with the optional Towing Package, designed for light-duty towing and featuring a specialized hitch and wiring system.

• **Driver Assistance Package**: Boost safety features with this bundle, adding adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking.

• **Panoramic Sunroof**: Let in some sunshine or starlight with the Panoramic Sunroof option, providing an expansive view of the sky.

• **Power Liftgate**: Convey convenience with the Power Liftgate feature, allowing for effortless loading and unloading of cargo.

The Geely Geome Xingyuan boasts dimensions of 4135mm in length, 1805mm in width, and 1570mm in height, with a wheelbase measuring 2650mm. Electric vehicles in the Decrease-spec category feature a powerful 58 kW TZ160XS001 electric motor. The vehicle boasts a top speed of 125 km/h. The load capacity of this model stands at 1215 kg, offering customers a choice between 15- or 16-inch wheel options.

The latest report from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) provides insight into the specifications of a newly released, high-performance variant. Equipped with an 85 kW TZ160XS002 electrical motor, this vehicle boasts a prime velocity of 135 km/h. This model is noticeably heavier at 1285 kilograms, requiring the use of 16-inch wheels for optimal performance.

While battery capacities remain undisclosed, it’s plausible that the premium version features a larger power cell. CATL supplies all variants with lithium-iron-phosphate batteries.

Editor’s observe:

Like the MG S5, another surprising car has emerged from the MIIT’s listing information this month. Despite its novelty, this mannequin remains largely under the radar, with another surprise being the Geometry label now spelled out as “Geome”.

Despite some common concerns about electric vehicles’ weight, this particular model stands out for its relatively lightweight design, with the top-of-the-line version weighing in at a modest 1285 kilograms. As we obtain more information, we’ll provide you with additional updates on this vehicle.
