What’s the point of even trying?
So much is unfolding with the Apollo Professional, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where to begin.
The scooter’s floor-up design means that few off-the-shelf components are readily available for replacement or modification. While efficiency is a plus, it’s the design and options that truly stand out here.
Since many people enjoy meeting specifications, let’s start with that.
The Apollo Professional boasts twin motors that enable top speeds of up to 70 km/h (43 mph), but I recorded a slightly higher velocity of approximately 75 km/h (46 mph) when testing the scooter at maximum speed on a flat surface, utilizing the Ludo mode. I’d rather see underpromises kept and overdeliveries made.
The 52V, 30Ah battery provides 1560Wh of capacity, offering ample power for approximately 100km (62miles) of usage. While offering an unprecedented range of options for many typical riders, this also means that rapid riders won’t experience battery depletion too quickly either.
The 12-inch wheels on this standing scooter are truly imposing, boasting a unique self-healing tire technology that significantly reduces the likelihood of flat tires. With its plush suspension, the bike provides a remarkably planted and comfortable riding experience.
While every wheel features durable drum brakes, ensuring maintenance-free braking performance regardless of weather conditions, you’re unlikely to find a need for them. The regenerative braking system’s potency lies in its ability to provide a decisive advantage, especially for drivers who anticipate the need to slow down slightly earlier than usual, thereby minimizing wear on traditional brakes. You may virtually rely entirely on regenerative braking, accessed through the secondary thumb throttle located on the left side of the handlebars – not a traditional throttle at all, but rather a variable regenerative braking control.
As I adjusted to this unique setup, I found it necessary to relearn my braking habits, as my habitual reliance on traditional brake levers initially led to a few instances of forgetfulness when switching to the regenerative brake system. Once you’ve grown accustomed to them, you’ll never want to switch back to traditional mechanical brakes again.
The integrated display on the scooter may appear rudimentary due to its dot-matrix design, but it shines with remarkable readability when viewed directly in daylight. While the scooter’s app is intended to be the primary means of interaction, it is integrated with a quad-lock system that securely attaches to the scooter’s handlebars, safeguarding your phone from accidental disconnection or loss by wirelessly charging it. Without a quad-lock case, I substituted the Apollo cellphone mount, a sturdy option featuring an all-metal construction that proved to be quite satisfactory. The app provides more comprehensive data compared to the dot matrix display, allowing users to leverage advanced features such as GPS tracking, route recording, personalized scooter configurations, and additional perks.

While we’ve witnessed scooter designs that take the use of LED lights to an extreme extent, transforming them into a dazzling light show reminiscent of a Floyd Rose laser display, this particular scooter takes a different approach.
The Apollo team employed a thoughtful approach to introduce sleek, ambient wraparound lighting without jeopardizing the risk of inducing rainbow-related seizures in anyone.

As a seasoned e-bike enthusiast, I’m typically at my most relaxed and comfortable on these eco-friendly vehicles. While I enjoy using scooters, electrical unicycles, and other micro-mobility vehicles, e-bikes have always been my reliable choice.
Despite some similarities, the Apollo Professional still manages to instill a sense of security and ease of use that’s remarkably similar to that of an e-bike in my experience. The scooter’s smooth ride appears to stem from a harmonious balance of factors, including the rake angle, larger wheels, and finely tuned suspension, which collectively contribute to its exceptional handling. Its stability is reassuring, effortlessly gliding and carving through turns before standing upright once more, fostering a sense of security that makes me long to ride freely, unencumbered by the need for physical control. While I’ve had limited success, this scooter stands out for its ability to make me feel comfortable riding without holding onto anything. While not a defining characteristic, the scooter’s stability can be influenced by factors that impact its overall performance.
Bang for lots of buck
The primary obstacle to my scooter procession is clearly the cost. At a price tag of $3,499, this is certainly not a budget-friendly electric scooter in any sense of the term. While it competes against numerous scooters boasting superior energy ratings and faster velocities within its price category,
Although the Apollo Professional was not designed to rival its peers in terms of power or speed. Don’t mistake my speed for lack of substance. While various scooters may excel in terms of acceleration speed or peak energy output by several seconds or a few thousand watts respectively. The Apollo Professional stands out in its design, departing from conventional approaches. This sleek, high-performance scooter is designed for those who crave a more refined riding experience. The user experience is scattered throughout the interaction with the application, encompassing both the layout and the overall design of the software.
If you’re seeking an adrenaline rush and crave intense power, look elsewhere. I’m capable of reaching speeds of up to 60 mph on various scooters at this worthwhile moment? While some may crave speeds exceeding 45mph, I’m content cruising at a leisurely pace, and to be honest, I’ve spent more time in the 30s than the 40s because I simply don’t see the need to rush most of the time. I’d love to own the freedom to ride whenever I want, but my top priority is finding a reliable and comfortable scooter. Given its exceptional features and capabilities, the Apollo Professional would seem to be a perfect fit for meeting the requirements of any typical business transaction.
It won’t compete on bang for your buck; rather, it’s not intended to. The bike’s premium price tag stems from its advanced design features, including a high-end controller and innovative bar-mounted flip indicators that enhance both visibility and safety.
While I wouldn’t recommend it universally, this innovative feature could significantly benefit daily commuters who rely heavily on their scooters. It seems that Apollo intentionally designed this feature with a specific scope in mind. The corporation offers various scooter options at a significantly reduced cost.
