In 2020, Triumph revamped its iconic Thruxton R model by introducing the new Thruxton RS, a high-performance variant that promises to deliver an unparalleled riding experience. While retaining its unassuming appearance, the Thruxton RS boasted a significant reduction in weight and a substantial boost in performance compared to its predecessor, the R. Left envious of their friends owning a Thruxton R, homeowners were faced with two daunting decisions. The owner opted to upgrade their first-generation water-cooled Thruxton R to an RS, choosing the more refined model over a potential modification to their existing bike.

Crafted by Spanish Triumph consultants and Tamarit Bikes, this bespoke bike is one of 141 uniquely designed models to emerge from their workshop. At the request of its owner, the team has pushed boundaries in the styling department while maintaining the classic elegance characteristic of the Thurxton design? To match the Thruxton RS’s prowess, they infused the model with modern touches, shaved off a few kilograms, and boosted its efficiency significantly.

With its styling enhancements courtesy of Tamarit’s bespoke Triumph aftermarket components, the Thruxton R boasts a truly unique aesthetic. A comprehensive new team meeting is heading up. By installing a Monaco seat, the Tamarit team converted the Thruxton into a perpetual single-seat vehicle. With the introduction of the stripped-down riding position, the new configuration not only eliminates the ability to carry a pillion but also dispenses with the unwanted weight of the stock tail cowl, full-length seat, and passenger footpegs. To ensure the brand-new tail remains pristine, a Tamarit eliminator kit substitutes the original license plate meeting and lighting components. This innovative unit boasts a cutting-edge LED tail light, harmoniously integrated with Motogadget’s pioneering M.blaze pin LED turn indicators, showcasing Tamarit’s commitment to precision and style.

As the Thruxton R approaches the entrance, its sleek design is accentuated by the cleverly integrated LED headlamp. The adaptive unit leverages gyroscopes to ensure optimal visual acuity at any lean angle. While the remainder of the front-end lighting is entrusted to Motogadget expertise once again, a distinctive set of bar-end M.Blaze discs assumes responsibility for signal illumination. While sitting beside these riders, you’ll notice that they’re equipped with sleek Motogadget glassless bar finish mirrors, which stand out in contrast to the rest of the unaltered cockpit design.

Triumph’s design for the water-cooled Bonnie series succeeded in discreetly concealing the radiator’s presence. Tamarit takes innovation to the next level with its innovative Hummer Sump Guard solution. The guard follows the radiator’s path to eliminate the obstruction created at the body’s entrance, while also providing safety for the engine by shielding it from potential hazards. The customised motorcycle boasts a unique flair with its miniature Tamarit “Mr Kevin” front fender, Dakota side panels, and Sombra chain guard.

To boost efficiency in its internal processes, Tamarit has paired the Thruxton R with a proven and tested reverse flow consumption system. Crafted by renowned aftermarket experts Free Spirits in collaboration with Triumph, the unique 180-degree bend intakes are specifically designed to seamlessly integrate a set of Energy filters, thereby ensuring optimal airflow and performance. To further refine the customizations on their consumption, Tamarit has designed and built a bespoke exhaust system. The placing of the pie-cut stainless steel 2-into-2 system is optimized for both aesthetic appeal and operational efficiency. Two pipes slither across the engine before being assembled beneath the stator cowling, where they appear to exhale flames at each other. To fully leverage these adjustments, the gasoline mapping has been optimally recalibrated.

As is typically the case with Tamarit builds, the finish on this bike is truly exceptional. The latest paint job, a striking fusion of gloss black and vibrant cyan accents, masterfully highlights the intricate contours of the bodywork, imparting the Thruxton R with an unmistakable air of individuality. A touch of sophistication sets off the already impressive Thruxton, as Tamarit tank badges and customized engine case emblems elevate it to a status that’s sure to leave fellow Triumph enthusiasts green with envy.
