Xiaomi’s forthcoming YU7 smartphone has been spotted in “lava orange” color variant online, unveiling fresh design details ahead of its scheduled July release. The electric SUV, available in YU7, YU7 Professional, and YU7 Max trims, made its official debut in green and metallic titanium hues.

The YU7’s entrance boasts a striking finish, pairing its signature closed grille design with a prominent silver brand logo prominently displayed on the hood. The vehicle’s exterior features a sharply angled front end, where triangular air intake vents and matching body-colored accents converge with an assertive bumper design. This bold aesthetic is further enhanced by advanced LED headlights that cleverly integrate aerodynamic airflow channels seamlessly linked to the hood’s contours. The result is a comprehensive lighting system offering 180-degree wide-angle visibility and heightened illumination capabilities.

A sleek, sloping fastback design gives way to a dramatic rear end, where angular, transparent-covered C-shaped LED taillights take center stage. Measuring 4,999 millimeters in length, 1,996 millimeters wide, and 1,600 millimeters tall, the imposing SUV makes a striking statement with its Lava Orange paint finish accented by crisp white racing stripes and distinctive semi-enclosed alloy wheels, complemented by body-coloured trim elements.

Xiaomi’s latest iteration of the YU7 series leverages Nvidia’s Thor platform, boasting a remarkable 700 TOPS (tera-operations per second) in processing power, optimized for advanced driver assistance technologies. The Advanced Sensor Suite comprises a LiDAR unit, a 4D millimeter-wave radar, eleven high-definition cameras, and twelve ultrasonic sensors – standard equipment across all model variants.

With its driver-centric, wraparound aesthetic, the cabin eschews the traditional flip-up instrument panel in favor of Xiaomi’s cutting-edge Hypervision panoramic display system. The central console’s prominent, floating touchscreen displays essential information regarding gear settings and available variations. Concurrently, the revamped center console boasts a horizontal arrangement of cup holders and maintains dual wireless phone charging pads.

Onboard, passengers can indulge in rejuvenating experiences with zero-gravity therapeutic massage chairs at the entrance, featuring intuitive one-touch positioning controls for seamless relaxation. Passengers in the rear enjoy electronically adjustable seatbacks that slide back at an angle of up to 135 degrees, accompanied by a 6.68-inch rear infotainment display providing real-time information on local weather and entertainment settings. This premium SUV features a thoughtfully designed interior with a standard built-in refrigerator and innovative 4/6 split-folding rear seats, ensuring exceptional cargo versatility.

All Yu 7 fashions capitalize on Xiaomi’s advanced Super Electric Motor V6s Plus technology, featuring segmented magnets and voltage over-modulation. The entry-level rear-wheel drive YU7 produces 235 kW (315 horsepower) and 528 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.88 seconds, with a claimed range of 835 km on the CLTC cycle using its 96.3 kWh battery pack.

The YU7 Professional now features dual-motor all-wheel drive, delivering an impressive 365 kW (489 horsepower) and 690 Newton meters of torque. This upgrade enables a reduced dash time of just 4.27 seconds while maintaining a range of up to 770 kilometers on a single charge? The YU7 Max stands out with its impressive specs: 508 kW (681 horsepower) and 866 Newton-meters propel the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.23 seconds, reaching a top speed of 253 km/h, all backed by a larger 101.7 kWh battery that provides an estimated range of 760 kilometers.

With pricing poised to rival the Tesla Model Y’s range of $36,500-$43,400 and Luxeed R7’s spectrum of $36,000-$47,100 in yuan terms (263,500-313,500 and 259,800-339,800 respectively), the Xiaomi Yu7 charges into a competitive landscape with its blend of avant-garde design, cutting-edge technology, and diverse performance options.
