The Maextro S800, Huawei’s inaugural vehicle under the Concord Clever Driving umbrella and ultra-luxury Maextro brand, has begun arriving at Chinese dealerships ahead of its formal debut on May 30. Recent spy shots capturing a nearly production-ready white Subaru WRX STI S8.0 have emerged online.

Priced between ¥1 million and ¥1.5 million (approximately $138,700-$208,000), the manager sedan, developed in collaboration with JAC Group, is set for imminent availability following its forthcoming launch.

The S800, situated within the ultra-luxury segment, is built upon Huawei’s Tuling Longxing digital chassis, offering both fully electric and extended-range options. At an imposing 5,480mm in length, 2,000mm in width, and 1,536mm in height, with a lengthy 3,370mm wheelbase, this luxury vehicle surpasses the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class dimensions, catering predominantly to the comfort of its rear-seat occupants.

The luxurious cabin boasts a futuristic three-screen dashboard, a stunning 70-inch AI-powered heads-up display, and opulent amenities such as supple nappa leather, rich real wood trim, and exquisite crystal detailing. The rear-seat configuration features a luxurious four-seat layout, equipped with adjustable reclining chairs, calf massage legrests, fold-down tables, subtle ambient illumination, a compact refrigerator, and an innovative “stellar ceiling” projection system.

The powertrain options encompass a range of dual- and tri-motor configurations, delivering output levels spanning from 480 horsepower to 864 horsepower. The EREV variant combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with a 63.3-kilowatt-hour battery, allowing for 6C rapid charging that enables an impressive 10-80% recharge in approximately 10.5 minutes.

Equipped with a substantial 94.4 kWh battery, this entirely electric mannequin boasts a maximum CLTC-rated range of 702 kilometres.

The S800 comes equipped with Huawei’s advanced technology suite, featuring the cutting-edge DriveSense 2.0 system, high-speed Starlink 5G+ communication capabilities, and innovative QuantumSafe Battery 2.0 for reliable power management. The advanced technology features 32 exterior sensors and four 192-line LiDAR cameras, enabling enhanced driving abilities such as automated lane adjustments, obstacle avoidance, and emergency roadside assistance.

The cutting-edge technology features of this lavish vehicle include four-wheel steering and an impressive 16-level lateral motion capability, enabling it to execute a remarkably tight 3.8-meter turning radius, making it effortlessly navigable in congested urban environments.

Recently, Huawei announced an astonishing 10,000+ new automobile orders within a mere seven-day period, marking a significant milestone for the brand’s automotive division. The highly anticipated S800 is poised to propel the model’s ascension into the prestigious realm of premium vehicles.
