Tesla wipes odometer on Cybertruck in service, scratches it, and returns it to owner

Despite clocking an impressive 26,000 miles, Tesla allegedly surrendered a Cybertruck with significant scratches, returning it to its owner as if nothing was amiss.

When a Tesla Cybertruck owner in Oregon arrived to collect their vehicle, they were left reeling after discovering it had been in for repairs, including the installation of a new lightbar, panel gap adjustments, and diagnosis of an ongoing ABS issue that refused to clear.

Tesla reset the odometer on its Basis Collection ‘Cybertruck’, which had accumulated over 26,000 miles before the clearance.

Elon Musk, the visionary entrepreneur behind Tesla, has taken to social media to share an update on his latest innovation – the Cybertruck. In a fascinating video, the proprietor gives viewers a glimpse into the electric vehicle’s impressive performance capabilities. The clip shows the odometer ticking over from 0 to 1 mile for the second time, demonstrating the Cybertruck’s ability to effortlessly cover short distances.

The odometer reading was erased, with both the vehicle’s application and subsequent repair records verifying the same mileage.

The proprietor shared a screenshot of the app following a 15-mile journey.

He sought recommendations on the internet forum.

I’ve had my odometer Thanos-snapped after a controller swap. Will Tesla’s mileage ever really be known?

Tesla faces a lawsuit alleging it manipulated mileage readings on its vehicles. However, the litigation in question actually focuses on increasing mileage, rather than reducing it, as seen in this specific instance.

This wasn’t the first shock faced by a Cybertruck owner seeking service for their vehicle.

The proprietor expressed dissatisfaction with the lightbar installation, citing a noticeable discrepancy between the left and right sides: a half-inch gap on the passenger side versus a seamless finish on the driver’s side. He wrote:

Framed by a perpetual grin, this individual’s default expression is one of affable amiability, directed towards the world with an air of unbridled enthusiasm.

The incident surrounding Tesla’s handling of the vehicle’s tailgate remains obscure, although the aftermath is undeniable: a loose bolt caused scratches and an unsecured fastener was inexplicably left behind.
