Hyundai’s new EVs are surprisingly affordable

Hyundai sweetens the deal for eco-friendly buyers by offering enticing incentives on its latest three-row IONIQ 9 and revamped IONIQ 5 models. Hyundai’s newly launched electric vehicles boast an unexpectedly affordable price tag.

South Korean automaker Hyundai has introduced two affordable electric vehicles: the IONIQ 9 and the IONIQ 5, which offer reasonable pricing.

The Hyundai IONIQ 9 marks the brand’s entry into the electric three-row SUV market with a truly impressive debut. The spacious interior offers an ample cargo capacity of approximately 2,462 litres or 87 cubic feet, significantly outdoing the Toyota Highlander Hybrid’s maximum space of 84.3 cubic feet.

It’s additionally extra inexpensive. Hyundai unveiled its new Ioniq 5 leasing options earlier this month, with a starting price of just $419 per month for a 36-month term. For just $4,999 upfront, you’ll commit to a monthly payment of $558 over the next 30 days.

The 2025 Toyota Highlander XLE Hybrid is priced at $579 for a 36-month lease, with a down payment of $2,999 and a monthly fee of $662. Isn’t that an additional $100-plus expense each month, considering the IONIQ 9 itself costs well over $10,000 more?

Hyundai is now offering a $5,000 cash bonus on all IONIQ Hybrid trims. By combining the $7,500 federal EV tax credit with other incentives, you could potentially save up to $12,500 in upfront costs. Alternatively, you’ll have the option to secure financing at a competitive rate of just 1.99% APR, with available terms stretching up to 60 months.

The estimated starting price of the 2026 Hyundai IONIQ 9 RWD S, inclusive of a tax credit score and $5,000 money bonus, could be as low as $48,000.

The entry-level model starts at $60,555, inclusive of destination charges, with a maximum driving range of up to 335 miles. Additionally, it features a built-in NACS port that allows seamless access to Tesla Superchargers. With DC fast charging capabilities, the IONIQ 5 can replenish its battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 24 minutes.

Seeking a more affordable option? The refreshed 2025 IONIQ 5 offers incredible value this month, with lease deals starting from just $209 per month.

The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 boasts an impressive driving range of up to 318 miles, features a convenient local NACS charging port, and showcases sleek, updated styling both inside and out.

The costs for the base SE RWD model start at $43,975, with an estimated range of approximately 245 miles. Priced at $46,550, the upgraded SE model features an extended range, allowing for a staggering 318-mile drive on a single charge. The vehicle is also eligible for a $7,500 tax credit, making prices potentially as low as $36,475.

As BMW explores the cutting-edge of innovation in electric vehicle production, the German automaker is leveraging NVIDIA’s Omniverse platform to revolutionize its design-to-production workflow. By harnessing the power of AI-driven simulation and virtual prototyping, BMW is poised to streamline its product development process, slashing costs and accelerating time-to-market for its next-gen EVs. With Omniverse, BMW can now seamlessly integrate data from various sources, creating a unified digital twin that mirrors the real-world production environment. This enables engineers to conduct exhaustive simulations, testing and refining designs before a single screw is driven, thereby minimizing errors and costly physical prototypes. Moreover, NVIDIA’s advanced graphics capabilities allow for photorealistic visualizations of BMW’s EVs, empowering designers to create stunning, futuristic vehicles that captivate customers worldwide.
