Toyota’s latest electric SUV, the C-HR+, debuts in Norway, where an overwhelming majority of vehicles on the market are already electric. Toyota describes the model as its “right-sized” electric SUV for Norway’s unique terrain, boasting ample interior space and an impressive range of up to 373 miles (600 km).

Toyota introduces its third full-electric SUV in Norway, the C-HR+.

The Toyota C-HR is back with a bang, boasting an even more impressive performance than before. Following the discontinuation of its gasoline-powered counterpart in 2022, Toyota introduced the CH-R+, a compact electric SUV designed to slot below the bZ4X in March.

Although drawing inspiration from its retired gasoline-powered counterpart, Toyota significantly enhanced its design with a sophisticated makeover, expansive interior space, and numerous other upgrades.

Built upon its e-TNGA EV platform, the C-HR+ boasts a stretched wheelbase of 2,750 mm, thereby generating additional interior space. With the rear seats folded, a spacious 15 cubic feet (416 liters) of cargo capacity is available, significantly outdoing its hybrid counterpart’s maximum of 13.6 cubic feet (388 liters).

The new design boasts a significant enhancement over its predecessor, featuring a sleek, coupe-crossover-inspired silhouette that commands attention. The rear window seamlessly integrates with the spoiler’s design, lending a sleek and sporty aesthetic to the overall appearance.

Toyota introduces its latest design trends, as showcased in its current lineup of vehicles, including the Corolla, Crown, and Prius models. While the exterior design elements of the entrance bumper, grille, and headlights are distinct.

The Toyota RAV4 Prime electrically powered SUV officially launched in Norway on a Friday. As Piotr Pawlak, President of Toyota Northern Europe, announced, “We’re thrilled to mark the highly anticipated Norwegian debut of the Toyota C-HR+”

According to Pawlak, the C-HR+ is not just a car – it’s a statement, boasting swift charging capabilities, a driving range of 600 km, and much more besides.

Toyota’s all-electric SUV is now available in Norway, featuring two battery options: 57.7 kWh and 77 kWh. With these power packs, the vehicle boasts an impressive WLTP range of up to 373 miles (600 km). The 57.7 kWh battery, suitable for front-wheel-drive (FWD), is available, while the 77 kWh model, offering a longer range, can be equipped with either FWD or all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations.

Within its cabin, the C-HR+ boasts a comprehensive 12.3-inch infotainment display, an advanced driver assistance package, and a generous panoramic sunroof.

Automotive features such as blind spot monitoring, adaptive excessive-beam headlights, and parking assist brakes have become the norm. The 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe’s higher trim levels acquire the Park Help system and a Panoramic View Monitor for enhanced parking and visibility capabilities.

Toyota’s forthcoming C-HR+ is poised to occupy a strategic position within its European portfolio, bookending the compact City Cruiser and the larger, more ambitious bZ4X electric SUV. Norway’s best-seller in January was actually the bZ4X, Toyota’s first-ever fully electric SUV.

Now you can reserve the Toyota C-HR+ in Norway. The costs are expected to be disclosed in the near future. Toyota’s website anticipates commencing gross sales in August 2025.
