Newly surfaced spy shots have captured the upcoming Stelato S9 wagon, showcasing a sleek, elongated profile that inherits much of its design DNA from the Stelato S9 sedan. The wagon prototype boasts a sleek, aerodynamic design featuring a streamlined roofline, subtly rounded contours, and an understated yet effective rear spoiler. The similarities between its taillights and those of the Aito M8 suggest a consistent design approach across Huawei’s automotive lineup. Originally considered were spy shots suggesting an additional sculpted tail lamp design; however, the production model ultimately opted for a simpler, more cohesive rear end.

Despite the lack of technical details, it’s expected that the wagon will borrow its powertrain from the sedan. The extended-range electric powertrain seamlessly integrates a 1.5-litre turbocharged internal combustion engine producing 118 kilowatts in combination with a robust 227-kilowatt rear electric motor, thereby delivering an impressive CLTC-rated all-electric range of 365 kilometres and extending to as much as 1,355 kilometres with the support of the onboard generator. Two battery capacities of 37 kilowatt-hours (kWh) and 53.4 kilowatt-hours shall be made available.

A pure electric vehicle design could also be envisioned, leveraging a 100 kilowatt-hour ternary lithium battery from Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited (CATL). The new smartphone features rapid 800V charging capabilities, likely priced within a range of ¥399,800 to ¥449,800 (approximately $55,300-$62,250). The various variants utilize Huawei’s Turing platform, which incorporates movement sickness mitigation capabilities. By Q3 2025, they are set to acquire the Huawei ADS 4.0 driver support system. This technique utilizes four distinct LiDAR models, consisting of one high-resolution 192-line unit and three additional solid-state sensors.

The Wagon is likely to feature 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, largely inspired by its sedan counterpart. The entrance features Huawei’s xPixel headlights, capable of projecting dynamic lighting patterns.

The interior design of the cabin mirrors that of the sedan, with a similar structural framework in place. Equipped with rich truffle-brown Nappa leather, the interior features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a expansive 15.6-inch central touchscreen display. Passengers in the rear enjoy luxurious amenities, including heated and ventilated seats with integrated therapeutic massages, elevating the S9 Wagon’s appeal as a premier family vehicle.

The Stellato S9 Wagon is expected to debut alongside refreshed sedan models later this year, with delivery schedules set for late 2025. Huawei’s expansion into the electric vehicle (EV) market is gaining momentum, with the S9 Wagon offering a more practical option without compromising on technology or efficiency, as showcased in its sedan counterpart.
