BYD Han L & Tang L officially revealed in China as 1085-hp beasts

On January 16, BYD shared official pictures of the Han L sedan and Tang L crossover. These autos undertake the model’s newest design language and new electrical motors with 30,000 RPM. Electrical variants of the Han L and Tang L boast 4WD with 810 kW (1,085 hp).

BYD Dynasty sequence’ flagship fashions Han L and Tang L have been beforehand noticed in China a number of occasions as they have been preparing for the market launch. On January 10, they utilized for gross sales licenses in China, revealing core specs. Now, BYD has shared official pictures of the Han L and Tang L.

The BYD Han L sedan’s exterior aligns with the common variant of the Han. Its entrance finish adopts elongated headlights joined by a chrome-plated ingredient. It has a LiDAR sensor on the roof, flush door handles, a slanted roofline, and a single taillight strip. Different options of the Han L embody ten-spoke rims with crimson brake calipers and a sizeable sunroof.

The BYD Han L boasts hefty dimensions of 5050/1960/1505 mm with a wheelbase of 2970 mm. For readability, it’s 10 mm longer, 50 mm wider, and 10 mm larger than the common variant of the Han. The BYD Han L rides on 245/45 R19 wheels.

The principle characteristic of the Han L is the powertrain. The RWD all-electric variant of this sedan adopts a 500 kW (670 hp) synchronous everlasting magnet motor with as much as 30,000 RPM. The 4WD variant of the Han EV boasts a 580 kW (777 hp) e-motor within the rear axle paired with a 230-kW (308 hp) electrical motor within the entrance. The all-wheel-drive BYD Han L speeds as much as 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds.

The plug-in hybrid BYD Han L adopts DM-i and DM-p variants. The primary one includes a 1.5-liter ICE for 115 kW (154 hp) and an e-motor for 200 kW (268 hp). The DM-p variant provides a further electrical motor for 200 kW.

In distinction with the Han L, the BYD Tang L seemingly differs from the common Tang. Its entrance finish adopts skinny LED operating lights and headlights built-in into the entrance bumper. It has an energetic air consumption and a LiDAR on the roof. The Tang L has a barely sloped roofline, hidden door handles, and a sporty roof spoiler.

The BYD Tang L dimensions are 5040/1996/1760 mm with a wheelbase of 2950 mm. It’s 170 mm longer, 46 mm wider, and 35 mm larger than the common Tang SUV. It rides on 20-inch / 21-inch wheels. The BYD Tang L’s powertrain stays in step with the Han L.

BYD will formally launch Tang L and Han L on January 17. These autos will enter the market shortly, shaking the NEV section in China with insane powertrain choices.
