XPeng has made its debut in Singapore with a left-hand drive model of the X9 at the Singapore Motor Show 2025, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s global expansion. Despite earlier indications that Xpeng would introduce the X9 in various right-hand drive markets, including Hong Kong, this marks the first time a RHD model has been unveiled.

The automotive measurements are: 5293mm in length, 1988mm in width, and 1785mm in height; its wheelbase measures 3160mm.

Equipped with Xpeng’s cutting-edge SEPA2.0 platform, the vehicle features innovative rear-wheel steering technology that greatly facilitates navigation of its considerable size. By implementing this modification, the vehicle’s turning radius is significantly reduced to just 5.4 metres.

In the UK market, distinct versions emerged for right-hand drive customers: Standard and Extended configurations. The Tesla Model S Long Range and Performance models employ identical lithium-ion battery packs, boasting capacities of 84.5 kilowatt-hours and 101.15 kilowatt-hours, respectively. In the Singapore market, the ranges of our vehicles are estimated using WLTP standards, with the two variants boasting impressive figures: up to 480 km and 575 km, respectively.

The SEPA2.0 platform leverages an 800V architecture as standard. Equipped with an impressive 330-kilowatt charging capacity, this vehicle can rapidly replenish its battery from 10% to 80% State of Charge in a mere 20 minutes. According to claims, this model achieves a milestone by being 50% faster than several key competitors in the Singaporean automotive market.

In Singapore, the single-motor variant of the X9 is available, equipped with a 235 kW rear-located electric motor that generates up to 450 Nm of torque. This acceleration is enough to propel the X9 to 100 km/h in just 7.7 seconds.

The XC9 offers an innovative electrical folding third row that can effortlessly transform the vehicle into a spacious four-seat configuration with just the press of a single button. The trunk area is expandable from 755 litres to 2554 litres.

Orders for the XPeng G9 will open in Singapore starting from the top of January. Xpeng kick-started its promotional efforts in Singapore in July 2024 with the launch of the G6 model onto the local market. Following the conclusion of the Singapore Motorshow on January 12, the right-hand drive (RHD) version of the X9 will be showcased at Xpeng’s showroom located at 281 Alexandra Street, marking its fourth retail presence in Southeast Asia.

The all-wheel-drive model of the X9 is reportedly poised for a global rollout across various markets in the next few months.
